Fine episode nothing to ride home about
This week is Task 2, with the events of the ending of last week we need a new witch on the scene. When summoning a witch they get someone they didn't expect. Regardless of their differences they must proceed to task 2 and progress down the road.
This episode looking back not a lot happened, summoning a new witch, trying to beat a task which was only okay entertainment wise, and the repercussions of said task, which again are okay.
There is a decent story from the past which keeps cropping up that seems intriguing, the aesthetic of the show is very pleasing.
Only okay this week, 6/10.

Something about all four episodes has felt somewhat lacking. Now don't get me wrong, this show has the potential to be great and have that spooky and mysterious vibe that WandaVision had (one of my favourite marvel shows) but the characters fall flat and the visuals are surprisingly underwhelming for a marvel show.
In my opinion, all the characters became like best friends way too quickly, Agatha sometimes acts way too childish and ridiculous for no apparent reason, and there's no tension. This show would be absolutely amazing if the backstories and depth of the characters had more TENSION.
Secondly, despite having a setting with stunning visuals, there's no movement to their spell casting. There's no sparks, visual effects, or hand movements (Wanda was the queen of hand movements), there's not even a change in voice. Instead of being a cool spell, they sound like they're speaking absolute gibberish with no intention. I don't think it's the fault of the actors either. There simply should've been some post production to make the scenes more dynamic and interesting.
I still enjoy some of the aspects of this show and I think the acting is pretty good (most of the time) but I find myself wanting more that I'm not getting. I'm still holding out hope but for now it's 3.5 stars.

I cannot give this episode too much hate or merits, therefore I must call this an average episode. Compared to this season's previous episodes, this episode lacked new content.
Now when discussing what I enjoyed about the episode, I must admit that now that everyone has officially assembled, it could be argued that the story will truly kick off now. Also, the set design and wardrobe changes are consistent, which I enjoy. The replacement of the death of a character last episode was also a fun twist where everyone had to adapt to said person. Of course, Agatha and Teen's drama related to their potential relationship is further explored which is excellent.
However, this episode still lacks that beloved novelty of the show because the next trial is similar to the former with a musical note being the only difference: the crew has a problem and solves it. I expected more from the show to add some better dialogue, and I won't focus on it too much because it could be because the characters are purposely like this due to the introduction of the new witch. Nevertheless, the main point of the episode was to introduce the newest member and the story did not go far. I am still giving the show a chance and I hope this episode is the final lackluster episode needed for building the plot.

The acting, the plot, the vibes... everything is perfect. This is exactly how id handle this episode in my head and you guys did that. Absolutely loved it. Healed everything in me. Crying. The best tv show of all time...
I absolutely can not wait for more episodes and wish this show never ended. Ive seen so many movies and tv shows and always have an eye for a good one and this did not disappoint. Agatha is beautiful soul with so much depth but also humor. Rio is just cherry on top.

Unfortunately every time I come close to enjoying the show it either does something Ridiculous or It slides into Ultra Boring melodrama. It's fine that they are slowly unraveling the history between certain characters but it's being done like a soap opera. Feels like an attempt at Buffy the Vampire Slayer But the dialog is just not up to snuff. You can't have multiple characters reciting comic lines in snarky tones unless the dialog is top notch stuff in this show is devoid of clever dialog or diabolic character interaction. Marvel is almost entirely comedies now. I blame Judd Apatow. Ever since the success of his films I feel like every studio is force feeding us snarky ad lib.

- TriviaTeen puts on a record, which plays backwards, casts a curse, and summons a demon. During the US Satanic Panic in the 80s, several rock bands were accused of reversing or "backmasking" demonic messages in their songs, allegedly to recruit young people to Satanist cults or make them commit suicide.
- GoofsWhen the coven is discussing why Mrs. Hart is died, possible reasons are that Alice Wu didn't protect her and that Jennifer Kale only gave Sharon Davis one dose of the potion when Sharon Davis had two glasses of poison. Nobody present realized Sharon Davis' hair didn't make it in to the potion, and so the potion might not have worked on her.
