The start was a bit chaotic, and the family dynamics weren't picture-perfect. The title and the interesting synopsis caught my attention. I didn't realize it was a foreign language show, but that didn't bother me much. The characters felt real, like average people with average jobs. There were some scenes that were mildly funny, but the show is more serious than the title suggests. As I said, it feels like real people. It's a nice little series. I don't think I'll think about it often after it's done, but I'm enjoying it enough to keep watching. It's an okay show; not mind-blowing or as funny as I expected, but a decent way to pass the time.

A lite comedy that discusses infidelity, paternity, middle-life crisis, empowerment, unemployment, and layoffs, and other life issues for the Norwegian middle class.
It provided a good look into the Norwegian society and how they live.
The decision to make the series into 25-minute episodes was a smart one, and I wish it becomes a trend for TV episodes to be shorter and lighter.
The casting and direction are supreme.
The side characters are well developed.
The plot still needs strengthening, and the main characters have some unexplained and ambiguous motivations.
The writers face a challenge to build on the plot and widen it, and I really am waiting for Season 2.

... those looking for MILF-nudity, only to find a boob or so here (maybe next season) ... this is first Nordic original series from 'newcomer' MAX in Europe... a drama series with comedy undertones
... a huge part of the fun coming from Mariann Hole in a leading role, making what could have been ordinary into something much more special-enjoyable... Hole shoulders the series, w-comic-finesse, charm, giving realness to her part, making MILF of Norway as one critic labeled it.. "a little charm bomb"
... definitely a Nordic production, how well it's accepted by American viewers up for discussion... yet for those liking Northern European programming, MILF of Norway more-than-likely sure to please.

The storyline and characters are well developed, and very well cast. We were easily able to follow thanks to the closed-captioning.
It is fascinating to see the extent of character development given the brevity of the episodes.
We HD not seen a Norwegian series (or movie) before, but now we are interested in seeing more.
The episodes are each under a half hour, and quite addictive, and therefore ideal for quick watching consecutively.
Our only issue is that MAX and AMAZON PRIME only list six episodes, not the full 8 episodes IMDB. COM and other sites list (and describe).
We felt like we were left hanging after seeing episode 6.
Does anyone know where we can watch those 2 missing episodes?
Thanks.
