The Last American Possession was filmed on a cell phone, with really impressive results. The lighting and cinematography are top notch. There's a great nostalgic fall atmosphere. The vintage set design is really cool, including shots of a classic car show and the sounds of old commercials in the background. It gives the feeling of being in the '70s in a subtle way. The plot is very intriguing and original. It has elements of The Exorcist, Poltergeist, and The Ring / Ringu without being quite like any of those movies. The Last American Possession is its own beast, with its own distinctive style. I recommend it to fans of atmospheric horror.
