The teenager characters relate to my upbringing as a teenager with high school sections (like their teams) named after the forest species, treasure hunts similar to our workbooks during our hikes in the forests with forest rangers for our high school biology class, and also having foresters who live in the same neighborhood.
For those who have a deep appreciation for the arts and sciences, this is the movie for you. The songs are in Filipino, which are on iTunes and Spotify - generations of student can play them on occasions celebrating environmental protection, sustainability and environmental health. Kudos to the researchers and producers for having the 5 teenagers' stories based on true stories of Filipinos, represented from different regions
The theme of the movie is socially relevant to the aspirations of the youth. I was one of those teenagers who pursued a career to produce renewable fuels, medicinal products and renewable materials from the forests. This movie is supported by Nobel Prize winning agro-foresters, public policy (Arbor Day and Arbor Law) and forestry colleges. I am thankful for the advocacy of this legacy project that would be enjoyed by generations of people, nurturing trees, in agro-industrial communities.
