I had the chance to attend the premiere of The Yellow at TIFF 2024 with my wife, and we were absolutely blown away! This film is a true gem. The writing is sharp and witty, and the direction is masterful, especially considering it's a short film. Haley Joel Osment and Marin Hinkle are at the top of their game, effortlessly blending deep emotional moments with perfectly timed comedy. The humor adds just the right touch of levity to the story, making it both heartfelt and fun. Every scene felt meticulously crafted, giving the film a polished, cinematic quality that's rare in short films. The strength of the two leads is undeniable, pulling you into their journey and making you laugh and feel right along with them. It's honestly one of the best short films I've seen in a long time.
