Clash! Shanks vs. Eustass Kid

Toei absolutely nailed it. Finally after 25 years we were able to see a glimpse of shanks true power and it was so great. They did a good job because in the manga it was very short chapter buy they handled the episode with good pacing. The animation was also top tier and every fight in egghead arc has been very solid. The direction of episode was also great and they did shanks a great aura which fit his character perfectly. We are not going to see strawhats in three or four months but these upcoming episodes are going to be fire. The last thing i'm going to say is for people that complain about art, believe me it can't be better than this because it is made for this arc.

My god. This episode. I saw the manga back then, it was not even close to being described like this.

If you only read the mangas, YOU HAVE TO AT LEAST WATCH THIS EPISODE! ITS INSANELY GOOD! Shoutout to the studio, well done. Oh boy oh boy.

I dont come on idmb to write reviews often, just like so many others, but if an episode hits different like this one, i have to tell people. I know too many who only read the mangas, they refuse the anime because its too much time consuming and they already know what will happen.

TRUST ME, YOU DONT KNOW. ESPECIALLY IN THIS EPISODE! I was shocked. Couldn't i remember what happened? Haven't I seen this in the mangas?

Words can't describe how happy I was watching this Epiosde. Some may say this is the best one piece Epiosde, but I simply can't do that. What I can do is put it in that teir of episodes such as 1015, 1062, and 1100. Anyway, this episode featured our third best director (Matsumi) and some of our strongest animators such as Ota, Tu Yong Ce, and Vincent Chandard. From start to finish this Epiosde was super cinematic and depicted the fight beautifully. Also the future that shanks saw was animated solely by Ota and is one of if not the best cut of animation in all of one piece. Ota is a monster of fluidity and I couldn't stop going crazy during his animation. Vincent also did a small part at the end with Dorry and Brogy that was absolutely amazing and packed full of Easter eggs. Tu Young Ce did the shanks divine departure and it was absolutely stunning as well. This Epiosde is absolutely a 10/10 and shouldn't be given a rating under that!!! CANT WAIT FOR GALAXY IMAPCT NEXT!!!

I don't know what universe the animators were in when making this episode but it definitely wasn't this one. In terms of pure animation this might be on of the best episode of One Piece. 1015 and Zoro vs king are the only ones that are better. Crazy that they put the same amount of effort into Shanks vs Kidd as they did with Luffy vs Lucci but I'm not complaining.

I've always liked both Kidd and Shanks as characters so I wasn't on anyone's side here.

If this is how they're gonna be handling the fights in this arc then I'm so here for it. Haven't read the manga so I'm excited for what comes next.
