This documentary was very well done but discouraging how our military has come to this due to an inept Liberal govenment. I feel extremely angry with those running the country when I hear the stories of the veterans and how they have been treated after they have served our country and suffered injury or loss of limbs. The equipment they are supposed to opperate with is a joke! Thank you for bringing all these issues to the forefront and helping make the people of this country more aware of what is happening. I am so angry that money is given to a known terrorist but our brave men and women have to fight for years to get any sort of compensation if any.
I proudly served my country in the armed forces for over 32 years, both in Canada and overseas. Forsaken Warriors hit the nail on the head. Aaron, on behalf of our comrades who paid the ultimate price for their country, thank you so much for making this documentary. The people of Canada must be shown the current and past governments' total folly with our military, as well as be made aware of the horrid way that Trudeau has treated returning sons and daughters of Canada, those who stepped forth and fought for their country.
The reality is that Trudeau's government has treated our veterans in the most abominable way, instead of honouring their service. For me, this includes friends who have come home missing limbs, friends who are no longer able to sleep, or friends who now have trouble simply fitting in after what they have been through. It's incredibly hard to believe that the only thing Trudeau's government could offer struggling veterans was doctor assisted death (MAID), after they valiantly fought on a battlefield or struggled for their life in a hospital bed.
Canadian Governments need to remember, if you want people to join and serve our country's military, you must honour, respect, and support Canada's veterans.
Thank you again Aaron and crew for this film. A must see film for every Canadian!

Canada, a once proud country, has nothing to be proud of regarding its armed forces today! This documentary tells it all, how our military forces ranked from one of the best after the 2nd world war to its current shameful, dismal existence (almost non-existent) today. We currently have a total 95,000 including 27,000 personnel in our armed forces! Compare that number to the city of Nanaimo which has a population of just under 106,000. How did that happen? This film, showing interviews with retired officers, veterans, politicians and a factual breakdown of some very bad decisions, gives us a clear picture of how the government treats our guardians during combat and after they come home. Warriors are put aside with their physical and mental injuries. Warriors that are willing to give their lives so the rest of us can have our freedom and a government that turns its back, for shame! This film should be a part of every school's history class.

Canadians need to know what has happened to our once world class military and who is responsible for its destruction. In his latest documentary masterpiece entitled "Forsaken Warriors", film maker Aaron Gunn exposes the tragic truth as told by Canadian soldiers themselves. Their stories speak of betrayals, broken promises and outright lies demonstrated in the soldiers' own words as communicated to the audience through Aaron Gunn's skillful interviews. The deceitful rhetoric of our political class and utter incompetence of our government bureaucracy will shock and sadden the viewer.
Every serious Canadian needs to see and experience "Forsaken Warriors". Bravo Mr. Gunn.

This film is well-researched and impactful, featuring senior officers and NCOs from all three branches who candidly share their personal experiences. Their unfiltered perspectives add a powerful layer to the narrative. I had the privilege of serving with four of the individuals featured, all of whom are outstanding men and women. Many Canadians may find this film difficult to believe, and even those within the military may not be fully aware of the situation it exposes. Aaron has brought together an impressive lineup of top-tier speakers-officers, NCOs, and politicians-who tell it exactly as it is. Thank you to the entire team behind this film.

We were at the film in Comox BC. What an eye opener. For myself I was enraged that our government, whose job is to defend our country and values has decimated the Canadian forces to such an extent that we literally can be invaded easily. To think the Trudeau government thinks that we don't need to use Canadian taxpayer Money to support our defence men and women with the proper tools, equipment and pay. We can always rely on our good neighbours to defend our borders. What lunacy is it when the Trudeau government thinks that it is more important to put tampons in mens washroom than to actually support our troops.

From a proud military family: grandfathers, father & mother, aunt, uncle, sisters, myself and now my daughter, I am angry and disillusioned with how the government has been, and continues to treat our military. Even the ever increasing threats from foreign governments haven't opened the eyes of our political leaders. This presentation succinctly outlines how decrepit our military has become and why. We can't get recruits to join our military and no one should wonder why. An organization has to instil pride in its members to get them to initially join and continue to grow that pride in order to keep them. As our political leaders keep whittling down the military budget and backtrack and delay replacement equipment, that pride continues to be whittled down into non-existence. Shame on our political leaders who will be the first ones to request assistance from our military in times of trouble.

This movie should be part of the social studies curriculum in every Canadian school! I was shocked, disgusted and embarrassed to learn how far the Canadian military has fallen over the last 50 years and more so at the hands of the current government. My grandfather fought in WWII at Juno and lived to tell the tale. He would be appalled (as we all should be) at the current state of the military, the treatment of it's veterans and the erosion of the freedoms he fought for.
Thanks, Aaron - for bringing awareness and understanding to a such a crucial issue! I hope this documentary plays a role in facilitating real change in the government and it's policies.
And thank you to the interviewees for having the courage to speak up!

This is a documentary that every Canadian needs to see. It is a great history lesson, that I am sure to many will remember, as well as a glimpse into the future, if we do not do something soon. Aaron has done an excellent job. The interviews are poignant and thought provoking. This documentary should invoke a conversation as to Canada's readiness for battle, should it become necessary in these uncertain times. I feel so bad for our Military personnel and the disrespect the current government seems to have when it comes to the sacrifices they have made to our Country. We Canadians need to step up and support those who fought and continue to fight for our freedom, not just on November 11, but all year round.
If you care about Canada and its service personnel - those who are willing to put their life on the line to protect us and defend our values abroad, you need to see this documentary. It tells the story of success of our CAF in the past and of the current neglect by Canadians and their government.
"Forsaken Warriors" is another tour de force by filmmaker Aaron Gunn told directly by credible interlocutors who mince no words to explain our undermanned, underfunded, underequipped and underappreciated Forces.
The final interviews with two wounded veterans bring the whole documentary together, showing that Canada needs to do better to look after our military personnel even after the end of their service. Very frustrating and touching.

A very important documentary that Canadians need to watch. We would all prefer that our tax dollars could be used differently but it is a dangerous world that we live in and we must be prepared. Canada cannot expect or depend on our allies to protect us. True North proud and free?? No.
The individuals that serve deserve our support and gratitude. It is shameful how we have treated our veterans.
It seems there is no end to services for many that have not earned them.
There is far too much bureaucracy in our government such that it is Ineffective. Far too much is spent on preparing ideas and reports that are not even implemented. Our government needs a complete overhaul and getting rid of the deadwood.

Aaron and his team knock it out of the park with this insightful, compelling, and thoroughly-researched examination of Canada's armed forces and the men and women who have, and continue to, risk their lives for their country. As always, Aaron has done his research with a well-rounded lineup of experts and people with first hand experience.
The film begins with a brief history of Canada's role as a key figure in military operations around the globe before taking a deep dive into how and why Canada's status as a military superpower has been slipping. The political commentary and firsthand accounts from current and past service members are profound and compelling. Bravo to Aaron for using his platform to bring such an important topic to the forefront and calling attention to members of the armed forces who have been left behind. This is a must see!

Went to the exclusive screening of. FORSAKEN WARRIORS- How Trudeau broke Canada's Military. This was put on by Aaron Gunn, Conservative MLA for Powell River, North Island. I knew our Military was demoralized and had very little equipment for defending our Country, but I didn't know how bad it really is. After years of total neglect by Trudeau, there is not much left, including pride. We once were a PROUD Country and looked up to by the rest of the world. Now we have nothing left and are the laughing stock of the World. Trudeau and the NDP must be kicked out so that we can rebuild our Military and once again stand tall with Pride in our Canada. I hope every citizen will get the chance to see this presentation right across our Country.

In his latest documentary, Aaron Gunn gives us a thoroughly researched and compelling overview of the decline of our once world-class Canadian armed forces. I've been following the situation with our forces for the past couple of years via media reports and found that Mr. Gunn was spot-on in his portrayal of the dismal situation that they are currently in due to neglect by our government. The documentary gives a thorough and in-depth picture of the whole situation via interviews with military experts from many different areas of expertise.
It was especially heart-wrenching to hear the personal accounts of some of our wounded armed forces personnel who have literally been abandoned by our government. Is this what we Canadians do to those who serve to protect us?
Again, the documentary gives a solid and complete picture of the dismal situation our military is in and the reasons why this is so. Every Canadian needs to be aware of this situation and how under-protected our country is. Every Canadian needs to see this documentary.

All Canadians should watch this fantastic, interesting, somewhat shocking film to learn what has happened to our Military and it's history. This is a must see film and should be shown in the schools as an educational film. The film is fairly long but at no time did it become boring and is a wake up call for all Canadian people. Absolutely a necessary watch and the sooner everyone sees it the better. It is also a political review and reminder of the incompetence of the Government in Canada and lack of respect for it's citizens with Trudeau as the Prime Minister up till mid 2024. Wonderful work by Aaron Gunn. Thank you for this film gem.

In this documentary Aaron takes the viewer through our great Canadian military history to how it is today. We need to support our military and bring them back to out once proud warriors of the past. It is a must watch, engaging and fact filled. From the Arctic to the Atlantic and Pacific and through our army air force and navy we see through his lens how the Liberals have reshaped and failed to maintain our fighting men and women. We have great people and our government needs to step up and show them some respect. Aaron has done a masterful job of bringing every aspect of our military and presenting it in a factual and riveting documentary that every Canadian should see. Well done Aaron.
Aaron Gunn's "Forsaken Warriors" is a powerful documentary that exposes the critical underfunding of Canada's military under the Trudeau government. Through compelling interviews and striking visuals, Gunn reveals the dire state of outdated and unreliable military equipment. The film effectively highlights the consequences of neglecting defense spending, featuring insights from military personnel, analysts, and policymakers. "Forsaken Warriors" makes a complex issue accessible and engaging, raising important questions about Canada's commitment to its armed forces. It's a vital watch for anyone concerned with national security and government accountability, offering a poignant call to action.

A very complete and shocking statement about the steady decline of the Canadian Armed Forces. A must see film documentary. It is a history lesson for all Canadians who take the defense of Canada seriously. All the statements made by those who were interviewed and events discussed were easily verified to be correct. A take away message from the film is that the Canadian Armed Forces are nothing more than political pawns ,to be used and abused by some Federal leaders who have been and continue to be in power. This film documentary also covers elements of Canada's armed forces who normally receive very little attention but never the less, proudly play an important part in Canada defense. I believe that at the end of the film ,the viewer will be left with mixed emotions ranging from anger to pride. Arron Gunn and his film team definitely nailed it. Well done guys.
This is an incredible documentary by Aaron Gunn.
******************************************************** Every man, woman and youth in Canada should see this film.
Aaron gets to the nitty gritty of what has gone wrong in our military. Real people, real stories, the lies, deception and betrayal our brave soldiers have experienced. It is truly shocking that our current Government could fail all Canadians so terribly. It is truly heartbreaking.
I will watch "forsaken warriors" again as there was so much detail I am sure I missed something. Aaron has a talent to get right to the facts and make you want to sit up and listen.
Another great film by Aaron Bravo.

Forsaken Warriors, a documentary film made & directed by Aaron Gunn, is an analysis of the collapse of the Canadian Armed Forces.
Every Canadian should watch it.
And, demand our political class act now to restore our government's most important responsibilty.
Which is to defend our nation, guarantee our security, & care for those who provide it now & our post service veterans.
The history of the CAF from 1914 to 2024 is summarized to contrast proud past achievements with present deplorable conscious political neglect.
Aaron Gunn has hosted interviews with military personnel including former general officers ,veterans & a Minister of National Defence.
The evidence & opinions gathered from those who lived, served & experienced the incompetence of politicians & bureaucrats is revealed thereby.
The examples of forsaken collapse are gathered under funding, recruitment, procurement/equipment, & morale, recognition, & post service care. All contribute to decline & a need to hold the politica class to account.
With Forsaken Warriors Aaron Gunn has made an important unmatched documentary.
It is unique & should spur a necessary Canadian response to compel renewal for Canadian defence & security in our dangerous world.

Aaron Gunn nails it again with yet another striking documentary, this time exposing the tragic decline in the treatment of the Canadian military and the effect it has had on our "warriors."
This film not only takes you through a deep dive into the military's current state through discussions with retired Generals and other experts, but it begins by showing the proud history and the significant impact our soldiers have had around the world when Canada was punching above its weight.
Forsaken Warriors is insightful, compelling, entertaining and vitally important for all Canadians to watch. Enjoy!

Once again Aaron Gunn goes to ground and interviews the pertinent individuals involved first hand in the hollowing out of the forces tasked with defending the true north strong and free. Aaron Gunn knows how to find the key players involved in an issue and by asking brief and informed questions elicits informed commentary from interviewees. The film exposes the perfidity of the Liberal Party of Canada and their current chosen leader, their Manchurian Candidate, in weakening our defences. After all, what do we have worth defending?
I do have a short attention span and we saw the lengthy enedited directors cut of the movie and it was too long. And the volume in the theater was too loud.
