We all know what a fantastic actress Vidya Balan is. But for some reason or the other, her last few films like Ghanchakkar, Shaadi Ke Side Effects and Bobby Jasoos, didn't do well.

Ask Vidya if failures affect her personally and she says, "Failures are disappointing. And they do affect you when a film you've invested in so much in, doesn't work. Like I was heartbroken after Ghanchakkar. After Shaadi Ke Side Effects I had learnt to deal it better because I already had Ghanchakkar before. And by Bobby Jasoos, I had two before. I cry, get angry but with my closest people I get it out of my system so that I can move on. I make sure it's not bigger in my head than it actually is."

International acting and singing sensation Priyanka Chopra has teamed up with Bollywood co-star, actor-producer Farhan Akhtar to lend her voice to the title track of this year’s most awaited release, “Dil Dhadakne Do”. 2014 was a fantastic year for music in Indian Cinema. We saw a definite shift from formularistic numbers to more nuanced tunes in step with the respective screenplays they would be featured alongside. 10. Jeet Gangulay

Jeet Gangulay’s Citylights was the silent hit of 2014 with Arjit Singh’s Mukurane becoming a crowd favourite from the get-go followed closely by Mohd. Irfan’s unplugged version of the song. While Youngistan did not do well at the box office, Gangulay’s ‘Sangemarmar’ definitely left a mark. Similarly, ‘Sun Le Zara’ from Singham was equally effective.

In an interview on TV show "Yeh Hai Meri Kahani", the "Shaadi Ke Side Effects" star talked about his wife's role in his life, said a statement.

"Adhuna has a great influence on me. She gives me strength and confidence to accomplish my work without any worries. Her inputs have always been of importance in all my films, all our popular looks from films like 'Dil Chahta Hai', 'Zindagi Naa Milegi Dobara', 'Rock On!!' were created by her," said Farhan on Adhuna, a star hair-stylist.

Adding another £4.79m in the past seven days, The Lego Movie now stands at a sturdy £26.67m after three weeks of play. That puts it level with the lifetime tallies of blockbusters including Spider-Man 2 (£26.72m) and Ocean's Eleven (£26.47m), and ahead of fellow animations including Ratatouille (£24.80m) and Wall-e (£22.91m). The Lego Movie will pretty soon overtake the likes of Shrek (£29m) and A Bug's Life (£29.45m) and is clearly headed into the mid-30s (£m).

Although box office for The Lego Movie is certainly skewed to the weekend, its decent performance in the Monday-to-Thursday period suggests that it is picking up a true adult audience, rather than merely adult chaperones of children.

New Delhi, March 4: Farhan Akhtar and Vidya Balan-starrer "Shaadi Ke Side Effects" didn't create fireworks on the opening day but showed good growth over the weekend, say trade experts.

Co-produced by Balaji Motion Pictures and Pritish Nandy Communications, the film is about the relationship of a young and urban married couple. Made at a budget of about Rs.50 crore, it hit approximately 1,500 screens Feb 28.

"'Shaadi Ke Side Effects' has collected about Rs.23 crore in India in four days. Expectations were higher due to the star cast. It didn't have a good opening but picked up on the weekend," Rajesh Thadani of Multimedia.

Mumbai, March 4: Actress Vidya Balan, who started her innings in showbiz with TV, will be seen back on the small screen for an International Women's Day special.

The "Hum Paanch" actress will be seen as the host of "No More Kamzor", which will talk of women who have struggled and overcome problems.

"The programme that we are doing 'No More Kamzor'...it is for girls of all ages. We started with children and I recited a poem with them. It was just wonderful energy," the 33-year-old said here Monday during the shoot of the show.

They say they hadn’t even met, let alone become friends, before the film, but their easy-going chemistry leapt out immediately in the trailers.

In summary, Sid and Trisha Roy have grown up into different actors from Pyaar Ke Side Effects and gotten married. Beyond that, there really isn’t much of a plot here. Sid and Trisha have a baby. Sid is not happy, Trisha pretends to be. Sid starts lying to his wife to be happy. It inevitably blows up in his face. They reconcile without actually fixing anything.

Unfortunately, that pretty much is the story. What starts off as a wonderful concept...

The story of an archaic backwoods family with very good reasons for their insularity, this spends such a long time laying out its twisted domestic set-up, it's almost as if it's in denial about being a horror movie (remade from a Mexican original). It's a wise decision. If you don't know the family's Big Secret already, it would be a shame to spoil it; let's just say it pulls the story into real shock and gore territory.

One of the gems that flows out of Farhan Akhtar's mouth while addressing the oldest question on the gender equation: what does a woman really want in a marriage? Could it be the same things as a man? Maybe the route taken by the two individuals is different?Director Saket Chaudhary raises some pertinent questions on the fake road-signs that could lead to an aborted marriage. Not all of the winking homilies work. But the film holds together primarily because of the intelligent writing.

This Friday Shaadi Ke Side Effects will hit the big screen. Mumbai, Feb 23: Actress Vidya Balan says an insecure relationship can have a negative impact on people's career.

"If you are in an insecure relationship, you may not be happy and your career may go for a toss. But if you are in a happy relationship, it will only help you.

"There is a certain restlessness in me which has calmed down a bit after marriage. Definitely, that is helping me concentrate on work," Vidya, who married Utv Studios CEO Siddharth Roy Kapur in December 2012, told Ians.

Mumbai, Feb 21: Actor Farhan Akhtar's forthcoming film "Shaadi Ke Side Effects" portrays how an Indian husband yearns to have the life of a single man even after marriage, but he says the plot has no "similarity" with his real life.

In an interview, Farhan gets down to talking about the comedy movie, which stars Vidya Balan, and also about his future projects:

Q. "Shaadi Ke Side Effects" (Skse) is a completely contrasting world from "Bhaag Milkha Bhaag" (Bmb)?

A. Oh absolutely. And you can see the difference in the way I promote the two films. A certain mood of fun and dance.

Mumbai, Feb 21: Actress Vidya Balan says her forthcoming film "Shaadi Ke Side Effects" is not just for those who are married. All types of viewers will be enjoy the entertainer, she believes.

Excited about the movie, in which she features with Farhan Akhtar, Vidya just hopes that "everyone will like it - be it those who are married, who are getting married, aged couples or even teenagers".

"Everyone will like it because it is a relationship-based story. It will make you laugh and you will relate with it," the 33-year-old said here on the sets of TV serial "Bade Acche Lagte Hain", for which she shot a special episode for.

Mumbai, Feb 20: Actress Vidya Balan will make an appearance on popular TV show "Bade Acche Lagte Hain". This will be her second stint on the show.

Vidya first featured on the show to promote her film "The Dirty Picture" and gave some tips to Priya, the female protagonist of the show, that would help her woo a man.

The 36-year-old is now coming on the show to promote her forthcoming movie "Shaadi Ke Side Effects", which releases Feb 28. She will shoot for her sequence in the show Thursday, said a source.

Mumbai, Feb 15: Squashing rumours of her pregnancy, actress Vidya Balan has said that "right now" she doesn't see any possibility of starting a family.

At an event to promote her forthcoming film "Shaadi Ke Side Effects" Friday, when asked when does she plan to start a family, Vidya said: "Inshallah one day I will be able to answer your question, but right now I don't see any possibility."

Vidya married Utv Studios CEO Siddharth Roy Kapur in December 2012. Rumours of her pregnancy have been rife lately.

However, she is currently totally focussed on promoting "Shaadi Ke Side Effects" in which she stars with Farhan.

Shaadi Ke Side Effects sees two Bollywood heavyweights, actor-director-producer-musician extraordinaire Farhan Akhtar and the incorrigible Vidya Balan come together for a comedy about the struggles of a young married couple to keep the spark of romance alive as their family life progresses.

After doing some prominent roles in Bollywood with films like Delhi Belly, Go Goa Gone and the recent Shaadi Ke Side Effects, the stand-up comedian turned actor Vir Das will be seen in a serious avatar in an upcoming film with Soha Ali Khan. Tentatively titled October 31, the film is said to be inspired by the 1984 Delhi riots where Vir would be reprising the role of a Sikh.
