Some of the CCTV images Ashlin cycles through are copied from shots we see of the Nostromo in the original 1979 film, before the crew gets woken up.
When Ashlin looks at the date, it is revealed that the date is April 26th. In the Alien fandom, April 26th is referred to as "Alien Day." This is because the date in its numeric form is 4/26 and the planet on which the Nostromo crew first encounters the Alien eggs in Alien (1979) is LV-426.
