My first Brunei movie I ever saw and I love it, my wish is it became more world famous, what most (or all) teenage life movies do wrong this one do it right and melts your heart.
Meet Yasmine, a troublemaker girl in her teenage who get rejected from her tough group. When the female karate champion is bullying her, she decides to join a karate school where she learn about herself and her two new friends, but when the karate champion is dating a boy she is interested in the karate tournament become more personal. To make matters worse, her father is against her entering the tournament because of his dark past when he was in a karate tournament.
A Brunei karate kid starring a female, yes that's it but much better done (even though the karate kid from 1984 is awesome and a classic) this taught me that every part of the world no matter how small part can make great movies and this movies put Brunei on the map with great acting, characters you love, realistic fight choreography and heart warming story and not over the top unlike Hollywood and Hong Kong. 10/10 baik dilakukan brunei !
