Easy watching indie film. Some strange choices by the Director and DP but overall harmless and funny in places.

Watching this film now, and not 2 minutes into the opening credits, and there's a JJ credited as line producer! Wow!! That's like the fifth Joan Jett connection I've gotten today, with every single movie I'm watching having a Joan or JJ in the movie or in the credits. I am just blown away!
Okay, now back to the movie!
UPDATE: Okay, rating this is going to be difficult, because I didn't exactly like it. But yet, it's the kind of movie I like. How's that for a mind twister?!
It's my kind of film, when my kind of film isn't done to my standards. So, I guess to say that I don't like it is not exactly honest, but nor would it be honest to say that I was pleased by how it ultimately shaped up. Not the kind of uplifting film that I was hoping for. In fact, for me at least, a bit of a downer.

I suspect the high ratings come from the cast & crew. Acting is terrible. Direction, blocking, framing, looks like a film school project. A sad commentary on relationships. Not funny, uneven. The lead actress is hard to watch.
How is this movie rated so high? No idea. Save your time and don't watch it. Bad acting, camera shaky in some scenes, predictable, absolutely not funny. Waste of time
I had seen the early first screening nearly a year ago, and this final pre-release screening (with its improvements in editing and sound) had me engaged throughout the 89 minutes. As I am a "senior citizen" male, generally I do not go for "chick flicks" but I must admit that For the Love of George is entertaining, engaging and funny at times. I liked it and I recommend it.

Didn't think I would enjoy this as much as I did. Pleasantly surprising laugh out loud chick flick and worth a watch if you cant decide on a movie. Add it to your watch list, a few familiar faces along with Nadia Jordan who played Poppy in a nice mix of Brit and American.
I enjoyed this movie. It had a unique story and fun characters. It centers around Poppy, a long time married woman, who's catches her husband with another women. She take off and goes in search of her celebrity crush, who happens to be George Clooney! This is definitely more of a film that will appeal to women. It was directed by Maria Burton and written by Nadia Jordan (who plays Poppy) and Hayley Nolan and has a whole load of female characters. Loved the message it got over too!

Watched this with my girlfriend the other day. I wouldn't normally watch a romantic comedy but it was Valentine's day and the trailer looked good. I have to say though that i thoroughly enjoyed this film and so did my girlfriend. The story is sweet and I loved the soundtrack! In particular I liked the lead (Nadia Jordan) and Rex Lee (from Entourage) is good in this too. Highly recommended if you want something that both you and your significant other will enjoy!

Clearly an indie film with lots of actors I had not seen before but I really liked this movie all the same. Fantasy combined with fun and a little drama thrown in. Women are likely to appreciate this more, especially as the subject matter is George Clooney!
This movie really resonated with me, maybe because I have always had a soft spot for Mr Clooney! I loved all the characters and it was good to see some familiar TV faces. Good fun movie.

I watched this movie for free on Amazon Prime so was not expecting it be very good. I was pleasantly surprised, it was entertaining throughout and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I really liked Rex (Lloyd from Entourage) and the rest of the cast (although the Texan was a bit annoying).

Cute film that also has one of my favorite actors in it, Marina Sirtis. I only wish she had a bigger role. As someone else mentioned in another review the soundtrack is also really good and has made it onto my Spotify playlist.

Wow! Fast paced, hysterical lines and antics and a very current vibe. References to sexual harassment, producer actor syndrome and follow your dream empowerment is all there. Kick back and be transported to LA and the story of a jilted wife who reclaims her life and dedicates her transformation to others in the same position!
For the Love of George was a fun easy watching movie. The cast are all great and I loved the relationship between Nadia Jordan and Rex Lee. Lots of laugh out loud moments in this romantic comedy. Congratulations Nadia!

I'm not quite sure if this is a rom-com but I don't care because I loved it! It was a unique story and to quote a line from the film "who doesn't love George Clooney"! All the characters were entertaining and I have to say the toy boy was so cute!

Really enjoyed this. Am a huge STNG fan so I watched this because of Marina Sirtis and was pleasantly surprised! There was a very funny scene with Kristen Johnston playing a psychic, hadn't seen her in anything for a while.

Had a great time watching this movie. Kind of a rom com / dramedy. The scene with Kristin Johnston was my favorite. Some good music in there too.

Watched this with some girlfriends the other night. Fun simple comedy about a woman who goes to US to find love. Is it realistic, no. But then why are you watching a romantic comedy? For us it perfectly hit the spot for a ladies evening looking for some fun entertainment over a bottle of chardonney.

As other reviewers have noted it's a simple fun comedy that delivers exactly what it promises. Fun to see Tate Donavan (I've been a fan since Friends) playing a sleazy producer!

Most films are the same story told in different ways. This film is unique and cute.
I loved this film , I thought it was endearing and fun. We all need to find our own George Clooney and have a little adventure along the way! Good to see Rosanna Arquette back on the screen and some other familiar faces too.

This was charming... such a fun comedy! It's light hearted but also empowering. There's some laugh out loud moments/lines, and whilst the concept is pretty specific, it has a wider resonance that I think most women can relate to. Loved it!

I love quirky comedies and this movie certainly fit the bill. It's beautifully shot with a great soundtrack and some great actors You'll recognize many of them from other roles. And the George Clooney angle is very funny. I'd watch this movie again.
