Homestead: The Series

Watched the movie and thought it did a great job. Wish it had all the same characters from before but it's not the big of a deal. I chose Angel studios shows because I love that they incorporate religion with it since I do in my real life. God is my life and everything that is good is because of him. Can't wait to watch the rest of the episodes.

Got to be honest, I'm thoroughly puzzled why so many of these reviews are negative towards a faith-based series... It's on Angel Studios: a faith-based streaming app.

I loved the movie! And I absolutely love the show!! If I could leave 15 stars I would! I love the character progressions from movie to series. And I'm especially grateful for a movie - turned - series with strong faith roots. There are so many secular shows and movies out there with death and empty "promises of hope" that they're suffocatingly depressing and sad - there is no real hope without Jesus. Now the faith community finally has a high-quality series with high profile actors that leaves the viewer wanting more. Can't wait for episodes three through six!!

Has a decent storyline that had us hooked. But it's smothered with religion themes. Turned us right off. Then they try to convince you the third episode can't be produced without your contribution. Like they haven't finished all the episodes with the money they clearly have to pay all these high profile actors. Give me a break. Cancelling the 'subscription' or however they're trying to sell it. It's too bad because we probably would have binge watched the first season. They keep you hooked one episode to the next. Including the bait they give you with the 'movie'. Dont waste your money. Disappointing.

Great show, watch it if you have the time. Can't wait for another season. Stop complaining about a religious based show produced by a religious based company. Did you expect them to suddenly start producing trash? If you aren't religious you will still enjoy the series, but don't base a negative review on something you should already know before you started watching. The actors all grow as it progresses, this isn't a billion dollar Hollywood production studio therefore know what to expect before spending your time watching it. I think no matter your background, this show delivers on what it was intended too.

A refreshing look on what working together can look like. We enjoyed the movie and were glad to see the series picking up to answer our questions. Great cast with a storyline that both my husband and I can follow. It is Christian based but that is what Angel studios is known for and what we love about their films. It's great to see the story continue on! It's good to see the families coming together and how they make things work despite the odds. The challenges they face and the difficult decisions they have to make each day. It makes you think...what would you do? A new fave, can't wait for the next season!
