Palermo in the 1970s. Ten-year-old Salvatore Giammarresi's life revolves around school and his first love, his sister's escapades and his parents' dreams. But the shadow of the Mafia and its crimes hangs over everything.

Inspired by real events, this is a black comedy about 20 years of history of Sicily from 1970s to 1990s, mocking Mafia Bosses and restoring the generosity of the heroes of Antimafia. It's focused on Arturo, a young boy who grows up in Palermo and tries to conquer his beloved Flora.

We follow Arturo from childhood to maturity, wittily examining the pervasive influence the Cosa Nostra holds over the everyday lives of his family and community as he commences a life-long romantic pursuit of beautiful classmate and neighbour Flora.
