Man mountain and former Eastender Craig stars as Alfie Jennings, a vicious hitman who, predictably, is on the verge of a mental breakdown and wants out of the game. Sons Jack and Luke are credited with production duties. The bland poster tagline - "They all have to die" - suggests that a number of the cast won't make it to the closing credits and that much does prove to be true.

Distributor Soda Pictures has acquired British thriller Breakdown for theatrical and home entertainment distribution in the UK.

The action thriller stars Craig Fairbrass (Rise of the Footsoldier as a professional contract killer who is forced to defend his family from his ruthless employers who turn against him.

It marks the debut feature from British writer-director Jonnie Malachi, who developed the film with production companies Screen 360, Impact Entertainment and Red Rock Entertainment.

The cast also includes Emmett J Scanlan (Guardians of the Galaxy) James Cosmo (Game of Thrones,), Mem Ferder (Pusher), Olivia Grant (Stardust), Tamer Hassan (The Business), Bruce Payne (Passenger 57) and Amanda Wass (The Seasoning House).

Producer is Luke Fairbrass of Impact Entertainment with executive producers Gary Collins, Jack Fairbrass and Craig Fairbrass.

The deal was negotiated between Luke Fairbrass and Soda Pictures’ acquisitions manager Frances Harvey.

Exclusive: Craig Fairbrass to star in action-thriller Cartel.

UK finance outfit Red Rock Entertainment and actor-producer Craig Fairbrass’s (Get Lucky) Impact Entertainment are to collaborate for the third time on action-thriller Cartel, which is in development.

Outside Bet and Bonded By Blood director Sacha Bennett is due to direct the Puerto Rico-based story about a military policeman (Fairbrass) who clashes with a local cartel while investigating the murder of a priest.

The deal was negotiated by Red Rock Entertainment’s Gary Collins and Impact Entertainment’s Luke Fairbrass.

Collins said: “We are delighted to be partnering again with Impact Entertainment; working with them has been seamless and are very excited about Cartel’s International appeal.”

British Action film stars Craig Fairbrass and Mem Ferda square up in uber-violent feature Gunned Down. British film stars Craig Fairbrass and Mem Ferda have signed on to come face-toface in the much anticipated, uber-violent action thriller Gunned Down, to be directed by Mark McQueen.

Gunned Down stars Craig Fairbrass (Rise of the Footsoldier) as a career criminal and armed robber Jack Cregan, who seeks to discover the truth behind his father’s murder and his stolen heist money. As Jack battles to unravel the mystery, he endangers his own life at every step.

Set in Spain’s vibrant southern city of Marbella contrasted with London’s dark underworld, Gunned Down is a thriller with brains as well as bruises. Mem Ferda (Pusher, Plastic) commented ‘ I’m elated to be back on screen with Craig, he’s a wonderful actor an real gentleman. Craig has written a powerful, no nonsense screenplay here.

We’re always on the look out for new British films and Jonnie Malachi’s feature debut Breakdown certainly fits the bill.

Starring Craig Fairbrass, recently seen popping up in The Hooligan Factory, and recent Games of Thrones man James Cosmo this is a hitman film which looks to up the ante on the old ultraviolence. Revenge thrillers need a compelling story to stand out and all eyes will be on Malachi in his first writing and directing gig.

May 2nd 2014 sees the release of Plastic. Based on a true events Plastic tells the story of a ring of university students led by Sam (Ed Speelers) who become credit card thieves in order to supplement their income.

Events soon spiral out of control as they accidentally rob a notorious gangster Marcel (Thomas Kretschmann). Now owing a bigger debt then ever, the students decide to target big spenders who frequent Miami on spending sprees. Marcel decides to set his henchman Tariq (Mem Ferda) off in pursuit, to Miami, in order to force them to pay ten times the amount they stole, with interest.

In order to clear this huge debt, the students Fordy (Will Poulter), Yatesey (Alfie Allen), Rafa (Sebastian De Souza and Frankie (Emma Rigby) led by Sam (Ed Speleers), plan a daring jewellery heist which makes matters a whole lot worse.
