I knew from the moment "End of Beginning" was released on August 26, 2022, that it was going to be a hit. There's no doubt that all of Joe Keery's songs resonate with his fans who listen to them every day-just ask me! If we talk about the current situation of this song, it feels unreal how viral it has become. I still remember in early 2024, when I saw only a few reels featuring djo's song, and I was surprised because I thought I was the only one who listened to it. At that time, djo had 2 million monthly listeners.
One day, while I was in college watching reels, I came across a post from a Joe Keery fan account that said "End of Beginning" was at global top 1 or 2. I was literally shocked. I sent my brother a screenshot from Spotify because he used to make fun of Joe-idiot.
I just want to say that just as Joe Keery has experienced his music's growth, which he truly deserves, his fans have also witnessed his rise in popularity. I sometimes feel afraid that now everyone knows him, and he must have gained more fans, especially since before this, most people recognized him as Steve Harrington rather than Joe Keery.
I also wonder why this song went viral; everyone uses it in their reels, and they had no right to use or listen to my love's song. This song should be gatekept, but that's not fair. True fans of Joe Keery would never want this for him; it's just jealousy, I guess. I want him to become a Hollywood superstar and a popular musician too. I LOVE YOU, JOE KEERY, AND I ALWAYS WILL UNTIL MY LAST BREATH.
