Welcome the new class of Kennedy Center Honorees! The 47th annual celebration, which honors luminaries across the arts, was held on Dec. 8 in Washington, D.C., but viewers around the country (and the world) will be able to watch the special broadcast live from home this Sunday, Dec. 22. Hosted by Queen Latifah, this year’s ceremony honors Francis Ford Coppola, Bonnie Raitt, the Grateful Dead, and more. The 47th Annual Kennedy Center Honors will be broadcast on Dec. 22 on CBS. It took a force like Taylor Sheridan to topple Max’s dominant run atop the streaming chart on the Samba TV Weekly Wrap Report last week. This week, it’s another streaming super power’s turn, as Netflix denies Sheridan the rare opportunity to top both the streaming and linear top 10 lists.

Netflix’s return to the top spot is thanks to “Carry-On.” The thriller has a holiday angle – all of the action happens on Christmas Eve – which helped it give Netflix its first chart topper since “The Perfect Couple,” way back on the Sept. 19 edition of the Samba TV Weekly Wrap Report.

“Landman,” the Taylor Sheridan creation that topped last week’s chart, slides down to No. 2 this week. It’s one of just two non-Netflix titles on this week’s chart as the streamer dominates holiday season viewership.

Apple TV+ and Apple Music have dropped a surprise holiday edition of Carpool Karaoke featuring segments with Lady Gaga, Chappell Roan and Dua Lipa.

A Carpool Karaoke Christmas features the pop stars singing a mix of holiday songs and their own hits, with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe taking over the driving from original host James Corden. The special hit Apple TV+ at midnight Et/9 p.m. Pt Sunday.

Dua Lipa will usher audiences into the holiday season with a night highlighting some of the work from her latest album, “Radical Optimism.”

The three-time Grammy Award winner will be accompanied by the Heritage Orchestra at London’s historic Royal Albert Hall. The 90-minute special will feature live performances of her pop hits, all reimagined.

“An Evening with Dua Lipa” was filmed on Oct. 17 in London, where the pop star is from. In addition to playing hits like “Don’t Start Now” and “Levitating,” and debuting some of her latest releases, Lipa will give an exclusive glimpse into her personal life and share anecdotes about her rise.
