    AMAZING

For such a jam packed episode they were able to give enough time to each storyline!!! I absolutely loved what they did for Chim and Maddie, I can't wait to see what happens!! As far as Eddie's storyline it was beautiful, emotional, and fun! Bucks storyline on the other hand was jaw dropping, sad, but in the end it's what needed to happen. This episode was absolutely incredible and I'm looking forward to the rest of season 8! Hopefully we can see Buck and Eddie doing some soul searching and really just living in their truths. Also I say we keep the hot priest on or bring him back in the future! He was amazing!

    Where did that come from?

For a season that has been so good so far, this was a disappointment. The rescues were mid (though the guts guy was memorable), and the best parts were the Maddie and Chimney plot and Josh's speech to Buck. But the Tommy storyline came out of nowhere, especially after the previous episode showing them so sweet together. The Abby plot came straight out of fanfiction and didn't need to be there. I really hope they bring Tommy back eventually and don't make Buck into a bisexual caricature of Buck 1.0. After so much attention being brought to Buck's character growth as a bisexual person, to fall back on stereotypes is not good.

    Excellent!

So for this episode I went in blind and boy was it a rollercoaster! So many twist within the first half, but we also had a lot of emotional scenes that spoke directly to our souls. The writing was phenomenal, the plot was perfect and the directing team did a wonderful job of showcasing the different aspects that make up the 9-1-1 that we love. All and all, it was probably my favorite episode of the season so far, definitely will end up top 10 overall. Just one to remember. Kudos to the entire team! Can't wait to see what the future holds for these characters. Really excited for the new episode next week! And then we're off for a while.
