Enough with these so-called films, lacking soul, depth, and substance, made only thanks to public funding handed out without any merit-based criteria. It's outrageous that mediocre productions continue to receive taxpayer money, wasting resources that could go to real talent-projects with something to say, born from skill, passion, and artistic vision. Instead, we get embarrassing products, poorly written, badly shot, and performed with no depth, whose only "merit" seems to be the right connections. It's an insult not only to the audience's intelligence, but also to all the serious, capable professionals who are left out of funding. This system must be exposed and reformed-culture cannot remain hostage to incompetence and favoritism.
