YEP WE BACK. Im so ready for this. This has been a long journey season 1-4 absolute cinema 5 and 6 eh 7 good but then heres the problem, 8 was garbage, new blood was good but ofc a rushed ending. Thankfully the writers improved and with original sin actually ending a season off with beauty and good writing made me so excited for resurrection and IM SO GLAD IT WAS WORTH CUZ THIS FIRST EP WAS AMAZING THE NOSTALGIA THE MUSIC THE NYC VIBE. It was great to see Batista again but oh what couldve been new blood..It wouldve been great without rushing it and actually concluding dexter correctly. Anyway i guess i shouldnt hate because if we didnt have those two horrible endings we never wouldve gotten original sin and now RESURRECTION so lets look forward to next week cause i know this is gonna be peak.
The premiere episode of Dexter: Resurrection delivers a convincing explanation for Dexter's survival, grounding the story in a plausible medical scenario. The emotional core, focusing on Dexter's concern for his son Harrison, is compelling, though Harrison's psychological depth remains underexplored.
The pacing suffers slightly from Dexter's rapid recovery, which feels rushed. The New York setting and the police investigation add fresh tension and complexity, while the return of familiar characters enriches the narrative.
Visually, the episode maintains a dark, stylish tone consistent with the original series. Overall, it's a promising start that sets up intriguing conflicts, though further character development-especially of Harrison-is needed to fully engage the audience.

This episode felt like it was something out of the original dexter series. The cameos were absolutely surprising and fantastic! Seeing the characters after the ending to new blood felt amazing. Some emotional parts which added to how great the episode was. There was absolutely nothing wrong with this episode and very well exceeded my expectations and hopefully others. Amazing great episode and after only the first episode i'm already hooked and want to watch more! After watching this episode it can make you feel excited about what's coming up and have thousands of different questions. Can't wait to see what the rest of the series has in store.
Bro this is looking so good, i mean the cameos are so good tho story line looks good and im just so excited i just hope that the person who scared chief bechop or whatever her name is, is gonna be quinn, idk but i got a felling it'll be him, at the end im pretty sure it's gonna be a great tv show.(im gonna copy it so i can reach the letters minimum) Bro this is looking so good, i mean the cameos are so good tho story line looks good and im just so excited i just hope that the person who scared chief bechop or whatever her name is, is gonna be quinn, idk but i got a felling it'll be him, at the end im pretty sure it's gonna be a great tv show.
10/10 fireeeeee 🔥🔥🔥.. he's back. Episode 1 of Dexter: New Blood (Resurrection) is a brilliant return to form. It masterfully revives the chilling charm of Dexter Morgan while introducing a fresh, snowy setting that contrasts perfectly with his dark past. The pacing is tight, the writing sharp, and Michael C. Hall slips back into his role like he never left. There's a satisfying tension between his new peaceful life and the lurking urge to kill again. The cinematography is beautiful and haunting, and the reappearance of old habits keeps viewers hooked. It's a gripping, emotional, and suspenseful start that promises a powerful season ahead.
