The Dinner Table

The candle came as a last resource in the movie. Three days before the shoot, the actor who was supposed to play the father canceled. Almost like predicting the future, while shopping for props two days before the actor canceled, Production Designer Derae Rain had an idea to buy the candle as a prop, because she thought it had a very Latinx aesthetic and could be used in case the actor came to cancel last minute.
