The Holdup

1 review

A dumb mess

Ricky Greenwood came up with this Christmas-themed 4-parter, and it's one of his worst tributes to mainstream genre movies so far. Digital Playground should be ashamed of perpetrating it on their fans.

He lifts elements from diverse Christmas favorites ranging from "Bad Santa" to "Home Alone", but poor production values (way below Digital Playground's former high standards) and consistently unfunny attempts at humor sink the ill-fated project.

Scott Nails plays a down and out guy who plays Santa Claus at the mall. You would think that after literally thousands of porn gigs, both acting and gonzo, he would have learned something about comedy, but no. They obviously should have hired Evan Stone instead.

Scott's ex-wife Katrina Colt feels sorry for him and hires him to play Santa at a private party thrown by her and her current husband Charles Dera. Christy Canyon gets wind of this and with her thugs Tommy Pistol and Nathan Bronson schemes to rob the rich couple and blame it on Scott.

The ensuing slapstick comedy is dreadful, and the lengthy XXX scenes spotlighting Colt, Canyon and Anna Claire Clouds are strictly sex filler. One expects more from Ricky Greenwood, much more, and also from once proud label Digital Playground, but alas this release is merely a porno lump of coal.
