Standard action feature with impressive Sabrina Ouazani

Being borned and raised in Rio, I had high hopes for this movie, but this movie screams low budget all around. Even though the photography in the Rio part is kind of weak, the locations are accurate and true to reality, but driving from Rio to the Amazon forest is like driving from LA to NYC, definitely NOT &quot;a few hours drive&quot;. Some of the actors are well know. In Brazil but their acting in this movie is just horrible! Beyond that, NO ONE speaks French in Brazil. The CGI in the second half is a joke and made me disconnect from the movie. All and all, unless you want to be exposed to some real locations and characters from Rio, this movie is a big waste of time.

In the mass production of B-grade action films, this one stands out from the crowd thanks to its heroine - a woman, convincingly played by Sabrina Ouazani - and an exotic set (in South America). The dramatic canvas is standard, with past trauma, false friends who betray and a hierarchy that betrays, a motivation that compels our hero or heroine to carry out his or her actions of vengeance (as usual, someone close to the hero must be suffering or dying to motivate him or her), and of course our hero, in this case heroine, is a master of weapons and fighting techniques. All this is used as a pretext for a series of spectacular, well-cut, fast-paced action sequences. As far as the action sequences are concerned, and the film in general, we&#39;re all about efficiency and simplicity. No revolution here. The film is to the point, but not slapdash. There&#39;s a sense of cutting and a sense of setting. The story is very schematic and tightly woven. The direction of the actors follows suit: we&#39;re not into subtlety. Technically efficient, the story is more or less predictable, but what sticks in the mind is Sabrina Ouazani, who bursts onto the screen. A good example of the genre. Given that we&#39;re dealing with video streaming for the Internet, it&#39;s likely that there will be a sequel. We&#39;ll be there.

This movie is a gem. Full action scenes in wonderful sceneries and great special effects. I guarantee you that won&#39;t be bored from the start to the end. The story takes place in Brazil where the main character, a badass agent from the French forces seeks revenge against the cartels and corrupt police who killed her husband. I really liked that this movie is totally different from what the French movies are usually about and the director clearly shows that French cinema is not only about romance and soap operas. This film brings out the best of what French are capable of doing:
Real good action films. Definitely a must watch.
