Being borned and raised in Rio, I had high hopes for this movie, but this movie screams low budget all around. Even though the photography in the Rio part is kind of weak, the locations are accurate and true to reality, but driving from Rio to the Amazon forest is like driving from LA to NYC, definitely NOT "a few hours drive". Some of the actors are well know. In Brazil but their acting in this movie is just horrible! Beyond that, NO ONE speaks French in Brazil. The CGI in the second half is a joke and made me disconnect from the movie. All and all, unless you want to be exposed to some real locations and characters from Rio, this movie is a big waste of time.

This movie is a gem.
Full action scenes in wonderful sceneries and great special effects. I guarantee you that won't be bored from the start to the end.
The story takes place in Brazil where the main character, a badass agent from the French forces seeks revenge against the cartels and corrupt police who killed her husband.
I really liked that this movie is totally different from what the French movies are usually about and the director clearly shows that French cinema is not only about romance and soap operas. This film brings out the best of what French are capable of doing: Real good action films.
Definitely a must watch.
