Chennai, April 22: Jagapathi Babu, who ruled as a charming romantic hero not very long ago, is set to play the father of superstar Mahesh Babu in a yet-untitled Telugu project, to be directed by Koratala Siva.
"I had planned to rope in someone new for the father's role and when I watched Jagapathi's performance in 'Legend', I knew I had my man," Siva told Ians.
Jagapathi played the antagonist's role in recent Telugu blockbuster "Legend".

Chennai, April 9: Popular producer Anil Sunkara, known for Telugu films such as "Dookudu" and "Legend", will release forthcoming Telugu anthology film "Chandamama Kathalu" under his home banner April 25 worldwide.
"He recently saw the film and was really impressed with it. He agreed to distribute it under his home banner. This will help us get a good theatrical release," the film's director Praveen Sattaru told Ians.
Sattaru, who has also produced the film, says the film will be "life-affirming".
"It's an emotional story about experiences that make up life. It was a challenge to fit eight stories and to give all.

Boyapati Srinu's directorial venture, reportedly made on a budget of Rs.40 crore, also earned Rs.15 crore from satellite, audio and distribution rights.
"In the first week, 'Legend' has minted Rs.31 crore worldwide. This is a great start to the film, which had already collected about Rs.15 crore from satellite, audio and distribution rights. It has turned out to be the first hit of this summer," trade analyst Trinath.
