As the build begins for Marvel’s Thunderbolts*, the question is whether the company is making the wrong move with the team.

After a rough 2023, the MCU took time off to regroup, pushed on by the Hollywood strikes. They are trying to bounce back with Deadpool & Wolverine and Captain America: Brave New World. Their big summer entry is Thunderbolts* (the asterisk is intentional), which looks fun.

The plotline has several supporting characters from previous Marvel movies pushed into a team: Bucky/The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), the Red Guardian (David Harbour), John Walker/US Agent (Wyatt Russell), Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen) and Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko).

The trailer hints at some wild action and comedy, unlike Guardians of the Galaxy or DC’s Suicide Squad. Yet that seems to be a missed opportunity for the movie version of the Thunderbolts to replicate the comics.

A television adaptation of Sebastien de Castell’s “Spellslinger” fantasy book series is in the works from “John Wick” director Chad Stahelski’s 87Eleven Entertainment and Basset Hound Distribution.

M. Raven Metzner, a writer-producer whose credits include “Star Trek: Discovery,” “Sleepy Hollow,” “Elektra” and “Clue,” will serve as showrunner and writer of the one-hour action-adventure series.

Metzner will also executive produce alongside 87Eleven’s Stahelski, Jason Spitz and Alex Young, as well as Basset Hound Distribution’s Michael R. Goldstein and Alexandre Coscas.

Casting details have not yet been revealed for the new series.

The original show starred Hayden Panettiere, Jack Coleman, Milo Ventimiglia, Masi Oka, Zachary Quinto, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Ali Larter, Adrian Pasdar and Greg Grunberg.

If you forgot, the series debuted in 2006 and concluded four years later. It starred the likes of Hayden Panettiere, Jack Coleman, Milo Ventimiglia, Masi Oka, Zachary Quinto, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Ali Larter, Adrian Pasdar and Greg Grunberg.

A new “Heroes” reboot series is in development from creator Tim Kring, Variety has confirmed.

The reboot, titled “Heroes: Eclipsed,” is set years after the events of the original superhero series, as new evolved humans are discovering their powers. Kring is executive producing “Heroes: Eclipsed” with his manager, Mosaic’s Jordan Cerf. Casting has yet to be announced.

“Heroes” ran for four seasons on NBC from 2006 to 2010, and starred Hayden Panettiere, Jack Coleman, Milo Ventimiglia, Masi Oka, Zachary Quinto, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Ali Larter, Adrian Pasdar and Greg Grunberg. Kring then worked on the 2015 limited series “Heroes Reborn,” with Coleman reprising his role as Noah Bennet. Zachary Levi, Robbie Kay, Kiki Sukezane, Ryan Guzman, Rya Kihlstedt and Judith Shekoni also starred in “Heroes Reborn.”

Milo Ventimiglia is opening up about the Heroes reboot and the possibility of a new revival. The actor also revealed why he won’t be auditioning for the Batman role in The Brave and the Bold film that James Gunn is working on as part of the new DC Universe he is constructing alongside Peter Safran.

In a new interview, the This Is Us alum was pessimistic about the idea of bringing back Heroes, the 2006 Tim Kring-created superhero series that aired on NBC for four seasons.

“I feel like I’ve been trained to say ‘never say never.’ But I think when they tried to bring back Heroes and reboot Heroes, it was a bit of a soft landing,” Ventimiglia said in an interview with ComicBook. “I don’t think that one’s gonna be revisited again.”

Ventimiglia played the role of Peter Petrelli, a hospice nurse who can mimic other people’s abilities.

"World War III" was a forgotten Marvel/DC crossover from 1997 that merged the Wildstorm and Heroes Reborn universes. Written by Tu and Metzner, East/West revolves around a pair of newly connected half-siblings – one an Asian- American medical doctor, the other a Taiwanese Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner – who utilize their sometimes clashing, sometimes complementary eastern and western expertise to solve medical mysteries alongside a team of brilliant doctors.

ABC has given out a pilot order to a legal drama currently titled “Judgement.”

Fifteen years from now, a woman being vetted for a Supreme Court seat recounts her experience at a prominent D.C. law firm in 2023, where the only thing more controversial than the cases was her messy love life, caught between two feuding brothers. Now, with a Supreme Court seat on the line, all of her darkest secrets are at risk of coming out, threatening her nomination, her reputation, and her marriage.”

Joey Falco is the writer and executive producer of the pilot. Melvin Mar and Jake Kasdan will executive produce via The Detective Agency. Jordan Cerf of Mosaic will also executive produce. 20th Television, where The Detective Agency is under an overall deal, will produce.

ABC is headed to the highest court in the land with its latest piece of development.

The network has ordered a pilot for a drama titled Judgement, from sibling studio 20th Television and writer Joey Falco (The CW’s Charmed). The self-described legal soap will center on a potential Supreme Court justice in the near future — while also exploring the candidate’s complicated present-day life.

The project’s logline reads, “Fifteen years from now, a woman being vetted for a Supreme Court seat recounts her experience at a prominent D.C. law firm in 2023, where the only thing more controversial than the cases was her messy love life, caught between two feuding brothers. Over the past few years, Marvel Comics has shown repeated interest in putting new spins on its past events, but one of the most famous has yet to receive this treatment - 2005's House of M crossover, in which Scarlet Witch rewrites Marvel's reality to put mutants on top.
