    Let them cook

This episode gives me high hopes for the end of the season. It looks like we will be getting to a point where Eli's children will have to accept that life for both him and the family must go on. I also liked seeing the development with Pont and Gideon because it sets them up for finding their own paths by the end of the show (idk where Abraham will end up but he's still so young and they dont show him enough that idk if we should care.) While I am not ready to say goodbye to the Gemstones so soon, it feels like the conclusion of this series will satisfy the arcs where each character needs to grow for the story to feel completed.

    GOD TIER Show 10/10.

If you're not giving this a 10/10...there's no hope for you. God tier comedy!

    P. S tldr, the rest of my review is ai, to make up the silly 600 character minimum.

The Righteous Gemstones is the greatest comedy series ever because it masterfully blends outrageous humor, sharp satire, and surprisingly heartfelt moments. Danny McBride's signature style-absurd yet deeply human characters-shines as the Gemstone family navigates greed, power, and dysfunction within their megachurch empire. Every episode delivers wild twists, razor-sharp dialogue, and top-tier performances from an impeccable cast. The show skewers televangelism while maintaining a compelling family drama, making it both hilarious and unexpectedly touching. With its mix of over-the-top antics and genuine emotion, The Righteous Gemstones is comedy perfection.

    Forced and gratuitous

Huge fan of Gemstones but this episode felt like it was more "let's cram in every funny line" vs being authentic. I'm a huge fan of shock humor but Baby Billy dangling his junk felt forced, displaced and unnecessary. It set the tone for the rest of the episode where it felt more like the writers pushing jokey cartoonish dialogue vs having any realism, heart or genuine conflict. I loved this show but this episode was a cheap stand up act. Losing desire. The pods? Meh, the jet packs, just not funny and the obvious love interest in the end? Who didn't see that coming the moment she arrived. No surprises, the dialogue was forced and uber the top. Disappointed.

    Hilarious

Season 4 is starting off strong! This is easily one of the funniest episodes to date and full of so many quotable lines. From the beginning you're getting the impression that The Righteous Gemstones is going out with a bang. We're already getting a sense of what this season has in store for our characters and this episode had a large focus on our dear Eli. Eli is trying to find out who he is after retiring and what he looks for in personal relationships while also dealing with his children and their own ideas of what retirement shouldn't look for him. I fully expect more kooky and crazy in upcoming episodes.
