It's an interesting show but Natalie is too high strung and over dramatic. She has serious control issues. The way she's always "going to be sick" when things don't go her way and the way she speaks to her son, Connery, is hard to watch.

This show has so much heart put into it. Natalie is not your typical farm gal. She is beautiful, energetic, completely self-sufficient, and is willing to do anything for her animals. Some people might judge her because she doesn't fit the normal shepherdess stereotype, but it's very obvious that she has something unique and special to offer.
There is obviously a lot that goes on behind the scenes that does not make it into the show (especially in regards to health issues with her animals where she has to consult a veterinarian), but what they do show is enough to know that she is one very special lady.
It's so refreshing to have this entertaining, hip take on a seemingly boring profession. Because as Shear Madness shows us, the sheep industry is anything but boring.

I absolutely love this show. It is so fun to see Natalie and her family run their farm. She may not be the average farmer/shepherd....but she is awesome, loving and funny. She truly loves her family and her animals. She is very smart and knowledgeable. The way she diagnoses the problems her animals are having is amazing. She has great instincts as to what to do for then. I have been a hand spinner for several years and it is so fun to see where my fiber is coming from. I highly recommend this show for families. There are some parts of the show that may be difficult for small children to see, but it is just part of running a farm.
Just a quick review of a new program on Nat Geo called, "Shear Madness" with Natalie Redding of Namaste Farms. I usually wont sit to watch television, but hey, I have to confess I found myself sitting-down, glued for "Shear Madness". I'm HOOKED!! To watch this beautiful shepherdess/retired model Natalie Redding and her lovely family was uplifting. A gorgeous supportive husband, five children and the farm. I Googled Namaste Farms and found numerous instructional videos on YT of Natalie showing us how to clean and process luxury fiber for spinning and weaving etc. You can find her on Facebook, Livestream, Blogtalk and more. This planet needs more role models like the Reddings. I hope Nat Geo airs more of this stellar program, "Shear Madness".

Natalie Redding delivers some beautiful and cold hard facts to folks about farming as a career and as a lifestyle, while raising a family and all the while, is looking good doing it! You'll see this beautiful and strong superwoman when you tune into any episode of Shear Madness! You'll be ready to pencil into your schedule - the next farmer's market and - the nearest sheep ranch you could possibly go visit! (Do you have a local yarn shop? Ask them, they might know of one!)You may even be inspired to call your real estate agent and get your own family farm! Her friendly nature and kick butt personality just make you want to know what's going to happen next! You'll enjoy watching Natalie put her education and skills to work with animals and people while living an entrepreneurial dream! Her beautiful children and supportive husband are fun to watch as they help her on the farm. During a time when we have all watched the dissolution of family farms this family helps connect many of us with our pasts and give us hope for the future! I highly recommend this excellent family show! TWO THUMBS UP!

Natalie is amazing and a true inspiration for female farmers everywhere. She's extremely knowledgeable and passionate about her animals. I love the whole family! With so many animals there is never a dull moment. I also love her friend Tara, she is always there for Natalie and she gives 110% all the time. If you watch and listen, you can learn a lot from Natalie. The family dynamic in this show is great. Sean is so patient and supportive. The children are great too! They are real kids acting like kids, but they do things and help Natalie with things a regular child probably wouldn't be able to handle. This show is great reality TV!!
