Summaries

  • Unsure about his foster father, Khanin escapes with Charan while soldier Thatdanai promises to find Emmaly. They take an indirect path through Bangkok, evading pursuers and seeking help from Charan's friend Vedhis.
  • Uncertain of his foster father's fate, Khanin is forced to flee with Charan. Khanin is reassured that special forces soldier Thatdanai Keerakul would head towards Emmaly as soon as he is able. Charan and Khanin are pursued by unknown enemies and take a circuitous route, with a stop in Bangkok, to regroup and request assistance from Vedhis, Charan's schoolmate.

Synopsis

  • Action scene from last episode, Thatdanai didn't actually get shot, a vase was shattered. Khanin is pulled out of the house with Charan and they run downstairs to escape via bike. They hear a gun shot from the house and Khanin, shaken, is desperate to see if Thatdanai is alive. Charan doesn't allow this however, says that Thatdanai wouldn't like all his work in raising Khanin to end here (with Khanin dying to save him). Charan nabs the ID from one of the attackers, identifying who is after them. Khanin reluctantly goes with Charan and they drive off.

A man informs his boss that Khanin got away, and that they dealt with the "evidence."

Charan brings Khanin to a house. Khanin asks how he's sure this place is safe, and Charan just says that he can trust him. Khanin gets changed into clothes that have been prepared for him, they fit perfectly. He sees Charan takes out his phone's sim card and gets mad, wanting there to still be a way to contact Thatdanai. Charan says he won't be receiving phone calls as that would expose his location, that Thatdanai trusts that he'll be okay with Charan. Defeated, Khanin says that if his dad trusts him that what else can he think.

Khanin sits dejected on the bed. Charan, in a softer tone, asks if he's hungry but Khanin doesn't want to eat. Charan tucks him into bed and then goes to sleep on the couch. Khanin sneaks out of his room as Charan sleeps, locks him to the table with handcuffs, steals his own phone back, and walks out the room, down the elevator to the hotel lobby. After he checks that his phone indeed does not have service, he's stopped by a mad Charan. Khanin reiterates that he wants to see his dad, and Charan says he must stay hidden and takes him back to the room.

Khanin asks how he undid the handcuffs, and to show him (he's shown). Khanin asks why he had to learn that, Charan replies that it's his duty, that Khanin is to return to Emmaly to secure Tharin's place as king (as a requirement of the next king is to have an heir).

The leaders from the four regions meet up with the king to discuss business. The king coughs quite a lot during the meeting, demonstrating his poor health. One of the leaders request that they be allowed in the castle more often to be with the king as he gets sicker, but the king reminds them that the rule that they're not allowed in the castle without permission was set up in response to the tragedy that happened 22 years ago (the killing of Khanin and his mother). When the king and Tharin meet in private, the king tells him that Khanin is not actually dead and that he's on his way. Tharin's shocked and visits his dead wife's grave.

Princess Ava and Prince Ramil fence, Ramil wins by one point. Ramil says its a shame she's a woman, as she would be fierce competition. Emmaly kings are chosen by their son's ability in fencing, and women cannot be heirs to the throne so they're disqualified. Ramil is the only (as far as he knows) male heir of any of the region's leaders, therefore it looks like his father will be king. Paytai comes back after walking Ramil's dad out and Ramil gets possessive, saying he belongs to him. Paytai says he's anxious about people finding out they're together, but Ramil assures him that once his father is king they won't have to worry about anything.

Charan persuades Khanin to come to Emmaly by saying that if Thatdanai is alive, the first place he will go is there. Due to the attackers, they have to take a detour to Thailand, a place close-by to Emmaly that speaks a similar language. They fly economy, worried that the spaciousness of business would cause attention. When the lights go out, Khanin clutches onto Charan as he sleeps, distressed by a dream he's having. When the plane hits turbulence, Charan clutches back - afraid. Khanin asks him why he's coming back to Emmaly with him, a target. Charan says its his duty, Khanin laments that that's probably how Thatdanai thought of him too and tears up. Charan says that he cares not for power, but for him. Khanin asks him if he'll still be there for him when he has to stay with his royal family. Charan doesn't reply.

When they land in Thailand, Khanin remembers that his dad wanted to go there with him. Charan takes his hand and they walk through the crowded airport. Charan spots two suspicious men as they leave the building and they hurry into a taxi. They get tailgated when they're in the taxi, so the driver tells them to get out at a nearby market. They get caught by two of the men and Charan knocks them out, shucking off his jacket (with his phone in it). It starts raining and Charan is momentarily reminded of himself as a boy looking up into the rain in the same way, before snapping out of it as Khanin shouts his name, telling him to look out. Charan gets slashed by one of the men's knife and Khanin smashes the other guy with a bottle then they run into a bookshop.

They change out of their wet clothes, Khanin uses his new dry clothes to wrap Charan's bleeding arm. The shop owner comes out and asks them what they're doing in his property but Khanin flashes his puppy dog eyes and asks for his phone so they can call Charan's friend, Vethis, to get them out of the shop. Vethis comes to collect them and asks who Khanin is. Charan introduces him as his nong and his friend asks if he's a biological nong (brother) or something else. Khanin calls Charan P'Ran.

When Vethis brings them back to his place, he sees them sitting close together and says there's no way they're biological brothers. Khanin feigns being caught and fake reveals that they're actually dating, and calls Charan Unc-Unc (uncle) because he acts like a grumpy old man. Charan stares at him in shock. Vethis prompts Charan to call Khanin another cute nickname in return, "Tue-Tue" (naughty). Vethis asks them who was after them and Charan gets him to talk privately out on the balcony, out of earshot from Khanin. Vethis comes back in and bows deeply to Khanin, horribly guilty that he spoke so casually to the prince.

They get on the train with Vethis' help, disguised as a train instructor to throw the attackers off their trail, and with Khanin and Charan dressed as an old couple. Khanin asks for praise for his acting, calling him Unc-Unc again. He doesn't get any, so he just thanks him for protecting him.

The king informs Tharin he must stay in the palace to be there for when his son arrives. That they will be holding the royal fencing competition not long after. Tharin is worried, not wanting Khanin to compete in such a dangerous competition so soon after his arrival but the king reminds him that he's unwell. Khanin is welcomed into the castle, adorning his normal hoodie and jeans.
