I believe with all my heart their team is fully behind the project and is serious about equal-parts sharing in the creative process to make this a rival to premium cable TV series. They're not there yet in terms of budget, but who cares? Story wins 10 times out of 10. We still love Back to the Future today, nearly 30 years after the fact because the story, the characters, the quotes are timeless; it doesn't matter if the fx are a little dated compared to the razzle 'n dazzle we get hit with a firehose daily. This is a show that promises a few slick visuals, but more importantly heart, character, and above all else, story. I was hooked from the get-go: the desaturated look and quasi-Heroes feel pulled me in. Being a bootstrapping filmmaker myself, I know the challenges in getting a passion project off the ground. Well, they've taken off, and with aplomb. I hope to see more.

What a fantastic pilot episode. For fans of sci-fi and action, this one will get your attention from the opening scene. Such an incredibly well shot, well directed episode. Great casting as well. The quality of the pilot could match any major network's prime time drama without question. I've been following director and series creator Terrell Lamont for the past couple of years and have seen his style develop into a top notch contender in the industry. Definitely one to look for in the coming years. I'm hoping the series gets fully funded through its Kickstarter so we can see how this story pans out. So intrigued! Here's to independent entertainment finally being on par (and even better) than the mainstream!
