This short film is a step above the other 2007 Bionicle video, the Barraki introduction. While they're both good, the Toa Mahri video is superior because of a sparing use of cheesy narration and a greater focus on each character beyond just the action. The Toa Mahri are introduced in their submarine which builds tension, leading up to a cool slow motion shot where they equip their masks and weapons. From then on, each toa has voice acting (oddly, all by the same person) which is rare for these promotional videos but pays off as it shows a little more about each character.
