I'm not one to write a review, but this one get a huge thumbs up! Roger Ebert should have stuck around for this one!
Although it was a seriously micro-budgeted film, it packs a huge wallop with masterfully done Acting, Direction, and Visual Effects. I must say it again, magnificent acting from the entire cast! What a gem of a film, with such a huge screen presence.
From the moment I started watching I was drawn into the story, and taken on a wonderful character driven roller-coaster ride with a huge pay-off at the end! Katherine Randolph was perfect in the Role of "Kim Harris" a nurse struggling to make sense of all that happens to her. Katherine's depth of a multi-layered character was absolutely perfect. Then the ever-endearing "Reverend Basil Mason" played effortlessly by Martin Horsey was smart and captivating. "Archer Stone", played by Brian Reed Garvin was just wonderful giving us a magnificent and a truly powerful performance. Why have these multi-talented actors been stuck in smaller roles, they have fantastic presence on film! Vincent Inneo was very good giving a strong performance as "FBI Agent Rocco Rinaldi". And we cannot forget child actor Carter Thomas, who was just perfect as the "Young Basil Mason", he was commanding and truly endearing.
It is amazing to me that Hollywood cannot make films like this. It is very apparent that this film was made from pure passion and a cast that was truly behind it from the beginning. With all the millions of dollars wasted on terrible films, why can't Hollywood do this?
My Hats off to the Cast and Crew, and especially the director Brian Reed Garvin for making this film! This Director will be an academy award winner if I have anything to do with it! Do Not Miss this, it is an amazing ride!
Does anyone know if a sequel is in the works?
