I really don't know what is about this show it's dry and silly stupid it even gets irritating at points but I can't stop watching it I binged season 1 in a day and watched 6 episodes of season 2 the next day and I still can't work out why. Maybe that's part of its charm.

Rob Schneider and his trophy wife Patricia are writing, directing and starring the over-the-top (yet deliberately pretending to be casual) "reality" comedy called "Real Rob".
The situations are impossible (for example Rob forces his assistant to have a ...vasectomy, just to see how he feels, before he does one himself!) in an effort to parody the life of Hollywood celebrities and the special treatment they usually get.
It is funny, but sometimes it crosses the line to absurd and ridiculous.
It has a bright photography (that I like) and good rhythm but because of the single camera setup, there are countless continuity errors that might become distractive. Just saw the 5th episode and his assistant is talking to Rob's wife wearing a hat, sunglasses and a ...fake mustache and in every cut he is wearing a completely different combination of them! (Yet someone might find funny these goofs and laugh even more.) The 1st season consists of only 8 episodes. Hopefully it might get a 2nd season although there is a possibility to become repetitive.
Overall: Silly yet funny. I'll keep watching...

I never really was a huge fan of Rob Schneider, honestly I thought his whole career was based solely on that dumb character in all the Adam Sandler films... Everyone knows that character Rob plays for Sandler..the one that was funny 20 years ago. But hardly elicits a chuckle when the same character is played by an over 50, balding, old dude. So considering the extent of my experience with him is whatever turd Sandler churns out on his: "he's-to-old-to-be-playing-that-same-sh%/@y-character" wheel of idiocracy he calls "Happy Madison" productions; I had to be talked into sitting through an episode...not willingly. HOWEVER; I was HELLA surprised when I actually sat through half a season before realizing it..and I laughed my a$$ off through every episode. Holy crap! His stand-up is hilarious and paired with his real-life wife (Who is legitimately funny herself and steals more than a few scenes with her quick quips and timing), is a perfect snapshot into real relationships. I highly recommend you watch it with your significant other because there is no-way that anyone who is over the age of 25 and/or ...is/has been in a long-term relationship...won't be able to sit through even ONE episode without you screaming: "OMFG! they sound like us!!".
I can't wait till the next season!....
If you can temporarily put aside your pre-conceived "Sandlerized" perception of Schneider, and can spare 30 minutes for a quick episode...I promise you'll find a new favorite...at the least, you'll get a good chuckle and will have at least a bit more appreciation for a comic that Sandler can't honestly compete with but unfortunately was typecasted and minimized by the same man that made him a well-known name in the younger gen. "YOU CAN DO IT!!"
I never really liked Rob's kind of humour before,
With quarantine ran out of stuff to watch on Netflix....
Then I found this.
Patricia Azarcoya Schneider Is a hidden jem! Not just beautiful but an amazing comedic actor, why have we not seen more of her??
Rob Schneider is a great supporting actor in this but Patricia is the real star of this show, would have been better to see more scenes of her.
Patricia Azarcoya Schneider Please make more series or movies🙏

Rob Schneider financed the first series and his mates played their parts for free. He then fired his agent who said he was nuts, but he should have listened. This is just not funny... or entertaining.
Schneider was recently interviewed on Howard Stern. He and his wife came across very well, so I thought I'd give their show a shot. Netflix paid him off for the series he made then financed the second series... but God knows who is doing the green-lighting over there because they need to be versed on what comedy is.
It's about as self-indulgent and as preposterous as you can get. The script is drab and the plots are derivative and unoriginal.
I just can't imagine that anyone is sitting down to this and laughing or being in any way entertained. As far as I can see it's simply Rob marching from scene to scene, being a dick and annoying people to provoke some kind of comedic value where none exists.
Rob and his wife seem like nice people and he's a talented actor. This won't be remembered for anything of value, sorry.

Amazing show, can't wait for Season 2. We laughed our asses off. Rob shows in a funny way how he and his woman live - of course some things are exaggerated, but that's a show to laugh and relax and not to check if everything is in exact place.
People are complaining about his fake blue eyes and about his lifestyle in the show? What the..? It's a show. Enjoy life man - always jealousy people writing negative reviews.
You have to live on the fun side of this planet to enjoy these things nowadays :) Go Rob! :D

Half of this show is watching a tiny, unfunny man in his 50's complain about his beautiful wife half his age while she uses her cleavage to try and distract you from the fact that she has no acting ability. The other half is poorly acted dialogue that would have been thrown out of any level 1 writing class.
The show borrows heavily from other, more successful, show styles without knowing what makes those shows great. We're presented with documentary style interviews that are really just there because the writers have no idea how to write dialogue or plot so they use it as a crutch. No other parts of the show hint that this is a documentary and the cinematography doesn't emulate a documentary style either. It's mostly shot like a Soap Opera.
We're also presented with some of the worst stand up I've ever seen in my life. It's just lazy, unrelatable garbage that Rob Schneider thinks others should hear because his ego is so massive he has no idea how unfunny he actually is. It doesn't help that Schneider dresses like a used car salesman from 2005 and acts like a selfish, egotistical garbage person during the entire runtime of an episode.
Nothing in this show feels "real" like the title implies, but instead feels like Rob Schneider is trying to show off how awesome he is. There are zero original, real, or funny concepts presented at any point during an episode. You will be presented with plenty of tired, lazy, and nonsensical ramblings.
I blame Adam Sandler for casting his buddy in so many of his films that Rob Schneider became a household name and millionaire. Without that money Rob would never be able to fund these insipid projects.

People who dont like rob schneider will not like this show and its jokes. nevertheless, this show is damn funny, with some really great moments. he's funny as usual, his wife is damn funny and dont get me started about his assistant friend! also, the take on reality shows is brilliant. just give it a try. it always makes me laugh and, even in episodes that dont really make me laugh, it makes me just feel good.
Someone obviously watched a lot of "curb your enthusiasm"....problem is, when you are not a comedic genius & try to give your show some "street cred" with live cutaways to your stand up...which is as observational and funny as a new comic anywhere near you... He was cute in Dr Dredd I guess... But when there is a "stalker..and it is about as believable as a stalker for a dancer in a Nickel Back video. .This is comedy garbage..so, my opinion only..clumsy nonsense.

This show has some good laughs in it, but occasionally they drop in a scene that is just terrible. If you want a little over-the-top, silly comedy that can be a bit inappropriate and awkward at times, but laugh-out-loud funny, this is something that might interest you. It has Rob's sense of humor throughout, but occasionally the acting is a little bland; but for the most part everyone does great. The show parodies the life, and privilege, of being a celebrity in Hollywood, and does so by intentionally being both over-the-top and pompous, but in some ways more realistic than some want to admit. It really leans on the celebrity perspective and uses that to absurdity. It has the feel of a show that will only get better as it matures, I definitely enjoyed the laughs and I hope you do as well.

The supposed "show" shows the life of Rob Schneider, his wife, his daughter, his assistant and his stalker. The absurd is great! The situations are exaggerated, but the performance of Rob and, above all, of Patricia are excellent.
The show is very funny, and when you start watching a chapter, it is no longer possible to stop until the end of the two seasons.

What's the phrase? " Laugh and the world will laugh with you, cry and you'll cry alone."
I can't be on board with the character of Rob, he's an entitled and selfish jerk. I didn't find anything he did funny, and was actually glad when his wife would rip into him.
If you like getting angry and screaming at your screen, then go ahead be my guest. I only watched the 1st 3 episodes and I would recommend this to no one.

I am a big Rob Schneider fan, always have been. This show is a lot different from his movies, and I imagine there is a grain of truth in a lot of what he says and does. His wife is stunningly beautiful and has a great personality, the dynamic between him and his friend/employee is funny and I LOVED the stalker. I found the first episodes to be very rough and of poorer quality than the rest. Once you get through them the show really starts to take off, and by the last few episodes I was on the floor laughing. I felt the show did a good job of showing both the positives and negatives of being famous and living in LA, something most of us will never get to experience. I really hope this returns for another season and thanks for the laughs!
Watch this show. Rob is misogynistic and his jokes aren't all that funny.
I came to the show having liked Rob from back in his SNL days and some of his previous movies from the 90's. Wasn't sure what to expect. Well...the pilot was funny but I still felt kind of 'hmmm' not sure if it was really going to be good. I gave it a few more episodes and I was HOOKED. I hardly EVER laugh at most comedy today...it's mostly gross-out humor, very trashy sexual jokes. While Real Rob has SOME racy elements, overall the show is just plain funny. Rob's beautiful real-life wife and daughter give the show an element of reality that really adds to the authenticity. All of the characters are funny...and likable. The show pokes fun at the dark side of Hollywood...traffic...insincere 'Industry' types...lazy workers at the health food store, etc. Even a few great cameos including George Lopez. The show is great...EAGERLY awaiting Season 2!

Curb was good because the characters were at least likeable, and he wasn't putting his real wife into bizarre objectifying situations. Rob is a terrible guy, and he can't help injecting his insane ideas and views into his "work", which makes it all the worse. Never met someone past 2010 who thinks he's funny, and I can definitely see why. He clearly wanted to make his own Curb your enthusiasm but just couldn't cut it, as evidenced by the cancellation after just one season. Frankly, I don't even know how the first season got made.
Why is this show so washed out and blue? Why is it so poorly produced on top of already poorly written? Truly, this show has nothing good going for it.

If you are looking for an original idea, you'll be disappointed. Not sure why people try to judge Rob Schneider as if he is competing with the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio for acting jobs but Rob is always 10 out of 10 for the roles he plays. He may not make me think about the deeper elements of connection through a deep serious dramatic role, but forget those movies, sometimes you just want to be entertained. He does his job when it comes to that.
The sitcom 'Rob' was pretty bad, but it had that big studio flavor to the entire project. It's clear to see that when Rob has the freedom to shine in 'Real Rob', he does.
It was a great mish mash of elements from Seinfeld, Fat Actress, Modern Family & Curb Your Enthusiasm. If you are a fan of these shows, you'll like Real Rob.

People like this? Dude has been a hack for decades, licking Sandler's boots and still being incredibly unfunny, uncreative, mind numbingly stupid and straight up DUMMMMM. That's right, 5 Ms. Can't even be bothered to spell it correctly. Who likes this crap? Your life must be really lame. God help us all. Garbage.

Every high-rating review on here was posted by Rob himself, his team or actual brain-dead chimps who derive pleasure from watching tortuously bad shows. If you haven't watched Real Rob and are reading this review, I have some really important advice for you: DO NOT WATCH REAL ROB. Trust me. I'm speaking from first-hand experience. After having watched just a couple hours of this show and then promptly REMOVING it from my Netflix watch history, I'm now noticing some troubling effects it's had on my life.
For example: some of my peers whom I work with have started DISTANCING themselves from me. The other day I got a text from one of them after work straight up calling me an a**hole for no reason. And then a few days later--and believe this--my mom actually stopped calling me by my NAME and instead started referring to me as a "GERM"? She continues to call me that to this very day! And at home my wife looks like she feels DISGUSTED being near me every night in bed now, MY OWN SON will no longer look at me in the eyes, and just a few minutes ago I tried to get my old dog to go on a walk with me and even SHE refuses to go near me! WTF?! That dog actually really liked me too!
I'm honestly sickened by the fact this kind of thing even exists on the internet. Real Rob is not a Netflix series, but rather a modern-day PLAGUE! Writing this review right now has me in cold sweats for having to think about how rotten a person Rob Schneider is for conjuring up such a vile medium for his "humor." I beg you, DO NOT WATCH REAL ROB or even consider witnessing a SINGLE SECOND of it! You will regret it for the rest of your life!!!

Having grown up watching Rob's films (The Animal and The Hot Chick were two of my first DVDs), my review is somewhat biased. That being said, this is most likely the best work he has ever done. Some people may laugh and say "Well, that's not hard to accomplish", but this is unlike any of his previous material (sure, it has some of the humor he is famous for). Here we see a different side of Rob, and the show tackles many serious subjects in ways I've never seen before. It really hits home if you live in LA and have spent time around wealthy/famous people.
Give it a chance! The first episode isn't as strong as the later episodes, in my opinion, and I almost turned it off. In the end, I'm glad I kept watching. Great job Rob, it's good to have you back with humor that has matured with my age.
Also, this show made me realize how similar he is to Michael Keeton in both looks and expression!

I love Rob, I do. I loved him on SNL, Men Behaving Badly, most of his Adam Sandler stuff, and even his earlier movies (especially Hot Chick). But this show is the worst thing I have seen him on. It is in the guise of a camera following Rob around. On this show he is just a grouchy old man. Nothing that made him appealing in anything I stated beforehand is shining thru in Rob's personality. Rob feels he has to say the F word every other sentence and there is nothing funny. Typical joke, Rob convinces his high assistant to get a vasectomy in his place. Why he would do that and why Rob convinces him to do it is beyond me. Rob's projects get worse and worse. I'd take him on ROB with Cheech Marin over this. All this show does is make me like Rob less than I did before...and I really used to like him. Rob has totally lost his career direction. I did make it through Season 1, but not wasting my time on the second season.
