After the Premiere screening at TIFF director Cesc Gay revealed the dog that played Truman died a few months after filming due to natural causes.
The dog in the movie is a Bullmastiff named Troilo. After his passing, Ricardo Darin attended a few red carpets with one of Troilo's daughters.
Both Ricardo Darín and Javier Cámara won Goya awards for their work in the movie, with Cámara winning as supporting actor and Darín as leading. Cámara actually has more screen time than Darín in the movie.
Dolores Fonzi and Javier Cámara had to do real explicit sex scene together.
