Bob Howard and the Cabin Kids run a food truck. They pull into a trailer park, take the orders, have the Kids sing a number, then Howard plays and sings "She's Tall, She's Tan, She's Terrific", a solid Cab Calloway number. Finally, the Kids sing another song and this one-reel short is done.
The Cabin Kids were five brothers and sister who sang close harmony in sixteen movies, most of them one-reel shorts for Educational Picture. They flourished from 1935 through 1938, then vanished from the record, like many. Bob Howard rose to prominence in the early 1930s playing for a variety of bands. He had a prosperous solo career, and in 1948 was the first African-American to host a network show. After thirteen episodes, he worked around Las Vegas and Los Angeles. He died in 1986 at the age of 80.
