The film was supposed to start shooting in November 2013 under the title "Un nuovo inizio", it was to be directed by Alessandro D'Alatri and the cast included Raoul Bova, Silvio Muccino and Anita Caprioli. After Muccino dropped out of the project and filming was delayed for two months, he was replaced by Luca Argentero, Caprioli was replaced by Carolina Crescentini and director D'Alatri by Alessio Maria Federici.
