As someone who was (and still is) in the Homestuck fandom as it rose to popularity and read the original comic, I would like to say I am more than thrilled to see all my favorite characters come to life. Had this been a thing when I was younger, I would have given Andrew Hussie and all who worked on this project every coin I had. Without a doubt, the moment they drop a Karkat plushie, I will buy it. No matter the price.
This series is for the Homestuck fans, but it's also a good intro for the whole series since there are spin-off games and stuff.
Additionally, I have read the other reviews to see the general consensus, and I would like to point out that Vivienne/Vivziepop has nothing to do with the script writing. She is only on the team as an animator. There was endless amounts of cussing and death in the original comics since this is about a huge cast of teenagers who act like teens. So please be warned this is a cartoon and series aimed at young adults & regular adults alike, and if you don't believe the script of the pilot reflects the spirit of the original, go watch a playthrough from a decade ago to see what I mean.
Anyway, FANTASTIC job with the pilot. I loved the little tidbits of humor, this introduction was extremely easy to digest and the humor was a cute callback. I loved all the voice actor choices!
