Aldis Hodge is coming to TV screens as Alex Cross, and he’s ready to crack any case.

It’s the first time ever that fans get to see the iconic character from James Patterson’s popular book series come to life on television. However, in this TV adaptation, he takes on a whole new set adventures that have never been told between the pages.

Writer and producer Ben Watkins crafted this new vision of “Cross,” which takes place in the nation’s capital of Washington, D.C., where criminals lurk during the day and the night. But no crime is too big of challenge for Cross.

Some supporting cast members include Stacie Greenwell, Sharon Taylor, Mercedes de la Zerda. Dwain Murphy, Karen Robinson, Jason Rogel, Siobhan Murphy and more. But check out the main case below.

In pursuit of satisfying the gamers, slight adjustments could be made, but by compromising what a writer intends. It is done by giving them a few choices that might affect the original narrative. There are consequences outside that game too.

Branching timelines look good in cinematic experiences like that of Marvel. That’s not really the case with video games. Take Mass Effect 3 for example; the entire game was great, but the ending didn’t give the closure fans wanted.

The Mgs series is quintessential to the stealth-action genre of gaming. Known for combining both gameplay and narrative that are considered way ahead of their time, frankly speaking, few franchises can compare to Kojima’s ex-juggernaut.

It is for that very reason that the series’ entries, especially the more outlandish ones like Metal Gear Solid 2, are talked about to this day. For instance, in one such discussion, a particular reference from Sons of Liberty has been brought back into the limelight, making all of us wonder just how far back Konami’s old team had this series planned out.

Take any list of games that have left a tremendous impact on its players and left them clamouring for more. Chances are that at least one game from Konami’s espionage franchise will show up there.

The Irish actor, whose other credits include Copper, Guilt, and Sons of Liberty, signs as Harry Wild hits season three on Acorn TV, which is the show’s conduit to Amazon Prime, and BBC America.

“Kevin brings a depth of experience and a unique artistic vision that stands out,” Unger said. “We are excited to support him in this next phase of his career.”

Ryan has also made a mark as a writer and director. His short film Bad Suns received critical acclaim and 27 festival awards. His upcoming projects include making his feature directorial debut with The Quarry.

Ryan also stars in Lost Nation, the upcoming drama on Vermont’s fight for self-determination, led by Ethan Allen (Ryan). Pic was written and directed by Jay Craven, which is set to premiere on July 10th.

Hideo Kojima is considered one of those video game creators who have made a permanent mark on the industry. Gamers all around the world know of his achievements, and they can agree with the fact that he might have made some unusual games, but he never made a bad game. Metal Gear Solid can be considered his most iconic franchise. One series that put his name on the map.

He left Konami back in 2015 after he completed Metal Gear Solid 5. Just a few months after the release of this title, he moved out and started figuring out what he wanted to do next. But very few fans of his would know that he never wanted this series to become the franchise that it became; he was pushed into expanding it.

The Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Volume 1 presents faithful versions of the first several entries in the series with some new features for fans. Developed and published by Konami, the upcoming group of titles is a comprehensive rerelease of the beginning of the iconic stealth franchise meant for old and new players alike. After the reveal of what titles will be included in Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1, there’s obviously been speculation as to what will be included in the second volume. While it’s yet to be confirmed, thanks to Twitter user @Nitroid and sources from IGN, clues as to what could be included were found in the source code on the Metal Gear website. That also includes Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.

On the History page for the Metal Gear website, there is a timeline with the entries for the series that you can click on for more information about that particular game. Currently, only the titles listed for Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1 are selectable. That would be Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.

At the 2022 Game Awards, Death Stranding 2 was revealed by Kojima Productions and its founder, Hideo Kojima. However, in traditional Kojima fashion, details about the game were left cryptically teased - including the title. Although the trailer and promotional material from Tga came with the label DS2, suggesting the game will be a traditionally named sequel, there were other clues from both the presentation and from Kojima Productions that point toward a different title.

As is expected from Hideo Kojima, Death Stranding 2's trailer was filled with hints about the game's premise, although it seems to confirm the game will be a direct follow-up from 2019's Death Stranding. Overwhelmingly original (and divisive), Death Stranding was the first game from Kojima Productions since its notorious split from Konami. Previously, Kojima was best known for spearheading the Metal Gear Solid franchise, which had an undeniable influence on the gameplay and plot of Death Stranding.

The indie co-written by Pierce and James Allerdyce tells the story of a woman who ends up trapped between a zombie outbreak and warring militias as she tries to outrun her past. Pierce is producing Herd as the inaugural feature under his newly-minted Fp banner, alongside Allerdyce, Lori Kay, Matt Mundy and Bret Carr. Production will commence in Missouri early next month.

Apple TV+ has officially confirmed a limited event series starring Michael Douglas as Benjamin Franklin. The Oscar winner executive produces the project about the American polymath, from John Adams writer-executive producer Kirk Ellis, TV director, writer and producer Tim Van Patten, Tony Krantz and his Flame Ventures and Richard Plepler’s Eden Productions under the company’s deal with Apple Studios. Based on Pulitzer Prize winner Stacy Schiff’s book A Great Improvisation: Franklin, France, and the Birth of America, the series, which has been casting for the past couple of months, is a co-production between ITV Studios America and Apple Studios.

Written by Ellis and directed by Van Patten, the drama will explore the thrilling story of one of the greatest gambles of Benjamin Franklin’s career. At age 70, without any diplomatic training, Franklin convinced France – an absolute monarchy – to underwrite America’s experiment in democracy.

Exclusive: Samantha Mathis and Henry Thomas have joined Paramount Players’ follow-up adaptation of Stephen King’s bestseller Pet Sematary at Paramount Players.

The duo join previously announced cast members Jackson White, Forrest Goodluck, Jack Mulhern, Natalie Alyn Lind, Isabella Star LeBlanc and Pam Grier. Production began last week. The Lindsey Beer-directed movie will debut exclusively on Paramount+.

The renewed thirst for Shadow and Bone's Ben Barnes has steadily been building since it was first announced in 2019 he would join the Netflix adaptation as General Kirigan. On a personal note, my love for the 39-year-old actor began after seeing him in 2007's Stardust and was firmly cemented with his role as the titular Prince Caspian in 2008's The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. Since then, he's been both villains and heroes with roles like Logan Delos on Westworld, Billy Russo on The Punisher, Dorian Grey in Dorian Grey, Tom Ward in Seventh Son, and Samuel Adams on Sons of Liberty. Thanks to Shadow and Bone, which premieres on Netflix on April 23, he's back in the fantasy element so many of us first fell in love with him in.

Earlier this year, AMC officially greenlit a TV series based on Joe Hill's novel NOS4A2, and it was later announced that the lead actors for the series would be Zachary Quinto and Ashleigh Cummings (Hounds of Love). Now, fittingly just days before Christmas, Entertainment Weekly has revealed the first photo of Quinto as the malevolent, soul-sucking Charlie Manx.

The as-yet untitled series (fka Secure and Hold: The Last Days of Roger Ailes), a Blumhouse Television and Showtime co-production, is based on Gabriel Sherman’s bestselling book The Loudest Voice in the Room and his extensive reporting for New York magazine about the sordid allegations of sexual harassment that prompted the late Ailes’ ouster at Fox News. Sherman co-wrote the initial episode with Spotlight writer Tom McCarthy, who will executive produce with Jason Blum.

The gig marks a return to Showtime for Skogland who previously directed shows Penny Dreadful, The Borgias, The L Word and Queer as Folk for the premium cabler.

Following his two-year collaboration with Universal Television on Taken, veteran TV and film producer Matthew Gross has signed a two-year overall deal with the studio to develop new projects and oversee existing properties. Under the pact, Gross is joining the upcoming NBC drama series The InBetween, serving as executive producer alongside the project’s writer Moira Kirland (Madam Secretary) and producer David Heyman (Harry Potter film franchise).

The InBetween, a co-production between Universal International Studios and Universal Television, follows Cassie Bishop (Harriet Dyer), a young woman who was born with a gift of seeing and communicating with the dead. Although some call it a curse, Cassie can help the dead with their unresolved problems. The series also stars Paul Blackthorne as Detective Tom Hackett. Along with his new partner, former FBI Agent Damien Asante, and Cassie’s unique abilities, they solve some of the city’s most challenging cases.

Rafe Spall (The Big Short), Mad Men alum John Slattery and Fargo standout Allison Tolman are set as the leads in Hulu’s political, dystopian half-hour comedy pilot Kansas City, from Amblin TV and Sony Pictures TV.

Set in Kansas City, the single-camera project, which has yet to get a formal pilot greenlight but already is in production, was written by Zev Borow (Lethal Weapon), with Rhys Thomas (Comrade Detective) set to direct.

Kansas City is set in a future where the city is separated by a wall between liberals and conservatives. Absurd misinformation and enmity rage as the two cities aim to undermine each other. In West Kansas City, political heavyweight Ellis Brookmeyer (Slattery) holds sway. His former son-in-law, Ben Graham (Spall), lives in East K.C. and yearns to be reunited with his daughter Clarissa (who lives in West K.C.). To accomplish this Ben gets involved with an East K.

Netflix’s latest Marvel spinoff, The Punisher, has cast English actor Ben Barnes (The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian) in a series-regular role opposite Jon Bernthal’s titular vigilante, TVLine has learned exclusively. Character info is sketchy, but one rumor making the rounds has Barnes — who will next be seen in HBO’s big-budget Westworld — portraying antagonist Bobby Saint, the corrupt crime prodigy played in the 2004 film by James Carpinello.

"Gladiator" co-writer David Franzoni is set to pen the multi-layered drama series "Colosseum" for Stephen David Entertainment ("Sons of Liberty") with the project currently being shopped to networks.

Set within the world of the Roman Empire's gladiatorial games, this is the first major drama project announced since Sde brought in former History Gm Doug Hoogstra as chief creative officer with the goal to make a push into scripted programming.

The story deals with the lives of the gladiators within the arena and the powerful men and women who attempt to use them as political pawns.

David, Franzoni and Doug Hoogstra will executive produce with production to begin in New Zealand next year.

TNT made a major play in acquiring Artificial Intelligence, a new show that will revolve around an “escaped” AI, and the efforts to monitor, stop, prevent, understand whatever it may be trying to do. The show is written by Luc Besson (who may direct the pilot) and Bill Wheeler, and marks a new step in TNT’s growing effort to include… “out of the ordinary” programming.

With Lucy 2 and the massive-budget Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets already on his plate, this shift in gears may make for one of television’s most interesting new shows. Considering the rather open description, which could lead us through a unique vision of what it means to live with an AI “out there,” there’s no telling exactly where this show could take audiences.

The Writers Guild of America has just announced the nominations for their annual awards for Best Screenplays (by writers who are guild signatories). That’s right, before you get nervous thinking that your favorite may have been left off the list, you must remember that the WGA is the group that is not all-inclusive and leaves out several of the top contenders each year due to them not being part of the guild or not following their very specific rules. For this reason, you won’t see Inside Out, The Hateful Eight, and Ex Machina in the Original Screenplay category or Room, Brooklyn, or Anomalisa in the Adapted screenplay category.

Taking a look at what’s left over for the nominations, we find many that were expected to make a showing, including Spotlight and Bridge of Spies for Original Screenplay, though they apparently had to sink to really low depths...

The Writers Guild of America announced some of its nominees for its 2015 awards on Thursday, including television, new media, and radio, and among the TV nominees are series both new and old, and all beloved.

In the comedy series category, freshman Netflix show "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" scored a nomination for best series, as well as an overall best new series nod. "The Last Man on Earth" also landed in that latter category, and was singled out for its pilot episode writing, too.

On the drama side of the equation, lauded "Breaking Bad" spinoff "Better Call Saul" also got best series and best new series nominations, in addition to a an episode writing nod. Newly-minted Emmy winner "Game of Thrones" also scored a best drama citation, as well as an episodic writing nomination.

Over the last few weeks, we’ve learned who Stephen Amell’s Emerald Archer would be facing on Arrow‘s upcoming fourth season – and now we know what the pre-vigilante Oliver Queen will be up against as well.

According to THR, Oliver will be going up against DC Comics character Baron Blitzkrieg in the season’s flashback sequences, who will be played by Rev and Sons of Liberty actor Jimmy Akingbola.

In the comics, Baron Blitzkrieg is the alter ego of Baron Reiter, and is predominantly a Wonder Woman villain whose roots go back to Nazi experimentation in World War II. He possesses superhuman strength, heat vision, and can fly, and is the leader of a nefarious group of criminals called Shadowspire.

That’s all likely to be retrofitted for Arrow, though Shadowspire’s methods of supplying cartels with weapons, transportation and technology could still factor into the show, and...

The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Jimmy Akingbola has joined the cast of Arrow's fourth season as the villainous Baron Reiter/Baron Blitzkrieg. He'll go by the former moniker in The CW series, and is described by the site as "an adversary for Oliver"  who will "appear in the show's prominent flashback scenes." In the comics, Reiter leads a group known as Shadowspire and uses Nazi imagery on his costume, but it's not clear how much of that will factor into the series (common sense says he won't be a Nazi). Akingbola has starred in the likes of Sons of Liberty, Holby City, and Rev. This is the latest casting addition to Arrow's fouth season as we recently found out that Neal McDonough as Damien Darhk, Alexander Calvert as Lonnie Machin/Anarky and Echo Kellum as Mister Terrific.
