Twelve year old Edie has been hospitalized for months in the psychiatric ward of St. John's Hospital. For months, she has been the only child among a medley of elderly patients. When Amy, a beautiful but complicated teenager, arrives, Edie finds an unlikely role model. Through their friendship, they each find a strength which they didn't know they had.—Anonymous
