Great Story, Beautifully Directed, Very Fine Young Actor

Keep an eye out for Ruben Navarro - he has shown himself in this film to be a director to watch. This is a superbly crafted film. One might say the story is told through the eyes of a child, but actually, it is more that the audience witnesses the child's experience through what the child is feeling and seeing...

The child actor, Nicholas Neve is brilliant - his sensitive, nuanced, multi-layered portrayal is natural and compelling; he draws you right into his world with his sweet innocence and genuine fear.

That we do not fully see some important characters for awhile, adds to the palpable suspense. You can tell there is something wrong, but it is hard to figure out. The music, sound design, and special effects are spot on.

The climax is haunting and thought provoking.
