Tagline: "They Were Here First." Just after a release of several movie stills, horror thriller Crawl now has a trailer and official poster. The graphic warns of alligators, while the movie trailer shows them up close and personal. Crawl was written by brothers Michael and Shawn Rasmussen (The Inhabitants). Paris born director Alexandre Aja (Piranha 3D) helms this environmental disaster title. And, film legend Sam Raimi (Evil Dead) is producer, along with Craig Flores (300). The trailer, which shows character Haley struggling with several threats, is available here - ahead of the film's July theatrical launch. The longer synopsis mentions a massive hurricane. Set in Florida, the influx of water has turned a neighbourhood into an alligator's breeding ground. Now, Haley (Kaya Scodelario) - after reuniting with her father (Barry Pepper) - must find a way to survive the night, until the flood waters recede. Together, father and daughter will have...

French extremist turned creature feature enthusiast Alexandre Aja has a new monster movie on the horizon. Decidedly less tongue-in-cheek than Piranha 3D, Crawl looks like a harrowing survival thriller. When a massive hurricane hits her Florida hometown, Haley (played by Kaya Scodelario) ignores evacuation orders to search for her missing father (Barry Pepper). The two become trapped by quickly encroaching floodwaters, and as time runs out to escape the strengthening storm, Haley and her father discover that the rising water level is the least of their fears. Crawl was co-written by brothers Michael and Shawn Rasmussen who wrote The Ward for John Carpenter and the great, low-key supernatural horror film The Inhabitants. Crawl was produced by Craig Flores (300), Sam Raimi (Don't Breathe) and Aja....

An old Carriage House in New England is the setting and principle character in the Rasmussen Brothers' latest indie haunting, The Inhabitants. Michael and Shawn Rasmussen wrote the oft-maligned (yet beautifully rendered) final John Carpenter picture, The Ward, in 2010 and since then they have concerned themselves with blood stained institutions that will not give up their ghosts easily. They took their own directorial stab at the haunted hospital in 2013 with Dark Feed. Here, it is a bed and breakfast inn located in Massachusetts, somewhere in the vicinity of Ipswitch or Danvers, the latter famously known as Salem Village. Indeed, the 'Witch Museum' up the street is the primary tourism attraction of the region, not counting the verdant, foggy atmosphere that offers some of the best production value...

When you’re setting your New England ghost story against the backdrop of a Salem Witch Trial past, it’s quite the coup to secure a locale as famous as the Noyes-Parris House built in 1669. Now owned by author Glenn Cooper (who serves as executive producer), its historical resonance as the home of Reverend Samuel Parris is felt. It was his daughter Betty and niece Abigail Williams who made the first accusations to begin the tragic true-life events that unfolded. It should be no surprise then that Michael and Shawn Rasmussen would decide to let the spectral ghouls of their film The Inhabitants be children led by the spirit of a woman hung for witchcraft (India Pearl‘s Lydia) after a flu epidemic hit the community’s youth centuries earlier.
The Noyes-Parris House is transformed into the fictional March Carriage House—a quaint little bed and breakfast with a well-documented and haunted past.

The second Cthulhu figure in a three-part series from Warpo will be available this fall. Also: a trailer for The Inhabitants, first details on IFC Midnight's acquisition of Cabin Fever, El Rey Network's Stephen King marathon, and Last Shift on Blu-ray.
Warpo's Cthulhu Figure Series: Press Release: "Chicago, Il (September 9, 2015): Warpo, creators of the Legends of Cthulhu action figures, today released part two of three of Cthulhu: The Great Old One, their retro commercial series for the forthcoming 12” Cthulhu figure.
In keeping with the company’s method manufacturing, the process of development by which Team Warpo creates everything with the mindset and methods of the late 1970s to mid-1980s, the commercial series was created with the look and feel of being an “uploaded artifact” from the era – a rip from an old VHS tape that was used over and over again to capture storylines for the sandbox adventures of childhood.

Independent filmmakers Michael and Shawn Rasmussen, screenwriters of John Carpenter’s The Ward, along with their producing partner international bestselling author Glenn Cooper are launching an Indiegogo campaign to help raise funds needed for the delivery and marketing of their new supernatural horror thriller The Inhabitants.
The film revolves around a young couple that gets more than they bargained for when they purchase and renovate an old bed and breakfast in New England. A series of troubling events leads the husband to suspect that something terrible is hiding within the walls of this house, and whatever it is has set its sights on his wife.

Filmmakers Michael and Shawn Rasmussen, screenwriters of John Carpenter's The Ward, have teamed up with international bestselling author Glenn Cooper to create a supernatural horror-thriller called The Inhabitants. It was filmed in New England for an extra-spooky feel, but the location itself is the icing on the creep-tastic cake. You see, the film was shot in one of the oldest homes in the U.S. --- as well as home to the Salem Witch Trial children. The Noyes-Parris House (c. 1669) was owned by the Rev. Samuel Parris, father of Betty Parris and uncle to Abigail Williams, the two girls who made the initial accusations that led to the tragic events that took place in Salem, Massachusetts. To help raise funds needed for finishing costs of The Inhabitants,...

Back at the beginning of 2013, we got the first word on The Inhabitants, Michael and Shawn Rasmussen's follow-up to Dark Feed; and now today the brothers are debuting the film's new sales art plus a pair of production stills.
Written and directed by the Rasmussens, The Inhabitants stars Michael Reed and Elise Couture Stone. They told us that with regard to the film, "We were fortunate enough to shoot in one of the oldest houses in New England as well as parts of Salem, Massachusetts, including The Witch House Museum."
"Built in 1690, the Noyes-Parris House was at one time owned by Samuel Parris, who played a role in the Salem Witch Trials. His daughter and niece were two of the accusers. It was also a stop on the underground railroad and has the hiding places to prove it. The current owner is convinced the house is haunted, and after...
