Govinda is one of the most prolific dancers and comic actors in Bollywood, and he continues to entertain the audience. To carry on his legacy, his son, Yashvardhan Ahuja, is all set to debut in the Hindi film industry.

The 27-year-old star kid will feature in a love story to be directed by Sai Rajesh Neelam. Yashvardhan, who goes by the nickname Yash among his close friends, reportedly gave an audition for the role.

According to sources quoted by Pinkvilla, Yashvardhan Ahuja will debut with a unique love story, which has not been titled yet. He auditioned for the role and got the role with his talent. National award-winning director Sai Rajesh will helm the movie. He has previously made Telugu films like Hrudaya Kaleyam, Baby, and Colour Photo.

Punjabi superstar actor-singer-director Gippy Grewal who made his disastrous Bollywood debut with Second Hand Husband last year is back in Bollywood with a song. He has just rendered the title number in Aditya Chopra's Befikre which will be filmed on Ranveer Singh. Though Gippy is not allowed to say much about the number, one hears it will be shot to steamy visuals of Ranveer Singh making love to Vaani Kapoor. Says Gippy, "Yes, I am back in Bollywood with a song for a Yash Raj film. Also, I'm directing a film in Hindi. It's a remake of my directorial debut in Punjabi Ardaas." Gippy says his directorial debut was far removed from what audiences normally expect from him. "I directed Ardaas, so I could speak on matters that I am not able to address in my films as an actor. When I direct a film I don't want to be bogged down by expectations.

2015 has been terrible so far when it comes to films starring rank newcomers. While almost all of them have failed to see even a 1 crore opening on Day One, the only film which saw some sort of footfalls was Khamoshiyan, which brought in 1.9 crore on its first Friday. As a matter of fact, even that film had an actor (Ali Fazal) who had been seen in a few films before, though Sapna Pabbi and Gurmeet Choudhary were absolutely fresh. Another newcomer affair was Second Hand Husband which was the launchpad of Gippy Grewal and Tina Ahuja. However, the film was a dismal failure with an opening day of 60 lakhs.

Between the two films, Khamoshiyan went on to have the weekend collections of 6.5 crore. Now it is expected that Hero, the newest film with debutants Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty, would manage to achieve this total on the opening Friday itself.

For the fans of macho man, Sunny Deol, this week is going be an unconventional one! The actor will be seen in a romantic/social entertainer for a change. Not that there are any doubts about his acting capabilities as he has shown his versatility in romantic flicks like Betaab, Sunny, Darr as well Dillagi (off course with some action thrown in!). Unfortunately, the film in question, I Love NY, also featuring the lady of the moment, Kangana Ranaut, was postponed from last year, and this time around it has not been given enough time and promotion, despite good music and production values.

Three new films released over the weekend gone by – Guddu Rangeela, Second Hand Husband and Bezubaan Ishq. Out of the three, Guddu Rangeela was the only film that managed collections of some sort. Though reviews for the film were not fantastic across board, like it was for Arshad Warsi-Subhash Kapoor’s last collaboration Jolly Llb, they were still the best of the lot when compared to the other releases. The film showed some escalation in numbers over the weekend and collected around 6 crore.

The film benefits from the fact that its cost is 15 crore (including P&A) and since 9.5 crore have already been recovered through sale of satellite (7.5 crore) and music (2 crore) rights, only 5.5 crore remain to be earned back through theatrical revenue. That should be a cakewalk, hence allowing the film to sail through and get into profit zone.

Watching Dharmendra in Second Hand Husband left me shaken and shocked. I was not able to review the movie, simply because there was nothing in the movie to write that was in anyway imaginative or worthy of this being called a motion picture. What stunned me into disbelief was the fact that Dharmendra was being ridiculed on screen.

Do we blame the director or the actor for picking up a role like this? When I mentioned this to an actor from the industry and my plight on the review, he responded, "What can be so worse than to have a film so wretched that it's not even worth a review."

Those few lines summed up the movie for me. Die-hard Dharam fans will vouch for the fact that he was better than even Rajesh Khanna and Dev Anand during his prime years. Why this now? I'm sure he can stay...

Two medium budget films clash this weekend – Guddu Rangeela and Second Hand Husband. Of course, former has more star value attached to it with Arshad Warsi leading the show. Moreover, he also returns with Subhash Kapoor after Jolly Llb, which lends further credibility to the film. While Amit Sadh (Kai Po Che), Aditi Rao Hydari (Murder 3) and Ronit Roy (2 States) are reliable actors, one waits to see how they have performed in a largely fun entertainer like this.

From the opening perspective, Guddu Rangeela should take a decent start since audience has been waiting for a new worthy film for a fortnight since Abcd 2. However, it would be growth over the weekend that would be the deciding factor as the film would need to sustain well over the weekdays too for bringing in good numbers.

There was high drama on the sets of Kapil Sharma's popular show when Govinda and his daughter, who makes her debut this week in Smeep Kang's Second Hand Husband, walked out minutes before they were to go on air. The reason given in two words was...Geeta Basra. It was a little shocking to see the team of Smeep Kang's film Second-Hand Husband on Kapil Sharma's Comedy Nights With Kapil this week without the film's debutante heroine Tina Ahuja who is our own Govinda's daughter. While the film's leading man Punjabi superstar Gippy Grewal was present with the film's second lead Geeta Basra, Tina, we are told, chose to stay away from camera range. Says a source from Kapil's show, "Govindaji had come for our show with his daughter Tina. But minutes before the camera was to roll they left. We were all in a state of a shock.

Gippy Grewal, who's already acted in many Punjabi films, will be seen making his Bollywood debut with Second Hand Husband, along with Govinda's daughter, Tina Ahuja.

Ask the actor if he helped Tina in acting and he says, "Yes, I did. I have done a lot of films in Punjab. I have also done more than 200 music videos and sung about 400-500 songs. So my career is very long. Tina is very new. She has no star-daughter tantrums. The best part about her is that she's very understanding. If you explain something to her, which is for the betterment of the film, she does it."

Directed by Sumeep Kang, Second Hand Husband also stars Dharmendra, and is scheduled to release on 3rd July, 2015.
