At the start of the film, well before Ariana joins the UCLA team, Val is described as the coach of the "six-time champion UCLA gymnastics team." However (as mentioned at the end of the film) Val coached her sixth championship team in 2010 with Ariana leading the team, so at the beginning of the film, Val should have been described as coach of the five-time champs.
During the accident scene, Ariana's mom is driving a Ford Edge. The accident was in 2001 yet the Ford Edge was not actually released until 2006.
