Sky Shark provides some cheesy and gory fun, but sadly only for the first 30 minutes or so, after that, especially the mid section, strongly loses momentum (explanation over explanation etc.) and I was finally rather bored. With a better script, focused on the action like in the beginning, Sky Sharks could have been a fine cheesy horror experience. Anyway, if Nazi-horror movies like Iron Sky, Frankenstein's Army, Ghosts of War, Blood Vessel, Overlord, Dead Snow and the like, or games like the Castle Wolfenstein franchise, rings a bell, you may give Sky Sharks a try.

Overall, above avg special effects and a pinch of nudity thrown in. Tom Savini, the master of gore effects, brings his magic to this movie. Can't be all bad.
Okay, so it's worth 3.5 / 10 rating, probably, in that the actors all spoke clearly enough to be heard, the script was probably printed ahead of time on paper, no mike booms were visible, and generally the lighting was good enough to see what was happening, most of the time.
My complaint is, there's not NEARLY enough nudity in this picture. I think movies of this ilk could be vastly improved by having just about everyone onscreen do the same performance as before, except naked. They shouldn't acknowledge the nudity, either. They should just do the scene as-is, completely starkers.
This would greatly improve the viewability in that at least the people waiting for nudity will have it, and those interested in the eye candy of the actresses will be able to have their interests met.

The movie is every bit as terrible as the title and poster suggests. The filmmakers gathered a lot of names, that are actually well known in Germany, but (with very few exceptions) haven't done anything good in the last decades.
The idea of doing a trashy movie like Sharknado and Iron Sky isnt terrible, but this isn't 2010 anymore. We've seen it over and over and these movies had several sequels while Sky Sharks was announced and did nothing for years.
The filmmakers showed off a critic on Facebook and got a lot of support by their own fanbase. What do you expect. The ones that supported the negative review got blocked. So you know who you deal with here.

Yes, it is hard to make a film.
It is even harder to make a film in Germany.
It is the hardest to make a good film.
I didn't expect Sky Sharks to be good, but it is nearly unwatchable.
But hey, don't tell the filmmakers, because they will feel offended by it. Lie to them, tell them how great this piece of .... is, unless you want to be called out or blocked.
And you guys wonder why German movies have a bad reputation? Not because of the movies, but because of diva-filmmakers like you.
If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.

I could write a long detailed review about how bad this movie is, but let me not waste your time. Do not rent, buy, or otherwise watch this trash of a movie. Don't let the shark and zombie effects trick you into watching this mess.
About 20 mins into the movie I've felt an urge to look up the name and see a photo of the director of this movie so I can blacklist him and avoid further mistakes.
At first this looked like an Asylum-type movie without the humor part but it got even worse. Dialogs, acting, editing, directing, writing... all terrible, except some decent CGI.
I think some people can't be objective about their own projects. I believe excessive self-confidence drives people into very ridiculous situations. It gets even worse if you don't have any honest friends around you to wake you up and pull you out of your 'psychosis'. Making such movies is a long and gradual process. I wish there were someone at some point to tell the truth and prevent a real disaster from happening.
I gave 1 star for the movie, then raised to 2 for the CGI team.

Right, well the 2020 movie "Sky Sharks" is exactly one of those movies. You know, a movie that is actually so bad that it turns into a good and enjoyable movie.
I mean, the storyline here is about Nazi zombies threatening the world riding on the back of genetically altered megalodon sharks that flies and carries heavy weaponry. Yeah, I know, right? It sounds really bad, and if you look at it objectively, then it is. But the thing is, that director Marc Fehse managed to keep the movie so outrageous that it was actually rather enjoyable. Sure, it was campy and goofy, but it proved to be good entertainment nonetheless.
And of course, Nazi zombies is usually always a blast to watch, as it was in "Sky Sharks".
The storyline was pretty straight forward and easy to follow. Sure, it was out there, way out there. But that was the enjoyable part of it, because this is a movie that doesn't really take itself serious. Fast-paced action and a good amount of gore to satisfy seasoned gore-hounds such as myself.
I actually enjoyed the effects and the visuals in "Sky Sharks" quite a bit. Lots of good zombie make-up, good special effects, and lots of really interesting concepts going on throughout the movie.
If you enjoyed movies like "Iron Sky" or "Sharknado", then chances are high that you will most certainly also enjoy "Sky Sharks". I must admit that when I sat down to watch "Sky Sharks", I didn't really expect it to turn out being as good as it was. So I was more than genuinely surprised and entertained by this movie.
My rating of "Sky Sharks" lands on a six out of ten stars. I can honestly say that you should watch "Sky Sharks", especially if you like non-mainstream movies that border on being bizarre.

Not sure what I was expecting from movie about flying sharks but it was painful to watch. If you enjoyed Iron Sky be aware - this is not in the same league in any way.
Horrid effets, very poor acting, terrible "jokes", no cool music just one big WW2 zombie meme made by bunch of kids.
Don't waste your time.

This movie is made for fun, it's not a movie which is to be taken seriously like some so called critics on IMDb are doing and it doesn't deserve such a low rating.
It has good fun elements, lots of CGI , gore and blood for gorehouuds, and good looking women with super bodies. What more do you want for entertainment? Relax enjoy the ride , it doesn't disappoint or bore like some so called slow burn horror movies, which are highly rated for nothing.
Hell I even want a sequel, thank you for making this movie during these boring times.
This was actually better than I thought.
I mean , if you're coming in looking for a captivating story and amazing plot, you're not watching the right movie. It delivered exactly what it said it would. Evil undead nazi's riding sky sharks.
I enjoyed the over the top bloody special effects. They did not hold back when it came to gore and blood. There were some seriously creative deaths in this movie. The Soundtrack was pretty awesome too.
It has bumped Sharknado off for best cheesy shark movie. Take a bite out of this one folks. It's not as bad as you think it is.
With the impressive gore, over the top crazy story, a lil horror nudity and it's rockin soundtrack. Sky Sharks rocked a solid 6.

There are times in movie-watching life when you just know you shouldn't torture yourself by watching the whole thing...and for me, this was one of them.
I gave it 1 point because you have to, and for the over the top concept and beginning, but after that, it's just beyond pathetic.
Atrocious acting and script don't help, nor does the fact that it's obvious attempts are humour fail miserably. It really does seem like it was all the work of a drooling teenage boy getting his masturbatory fantasies onto the big screen.
The only possible grounds I can think of for sitting though the entirety of this, is you you're trying to punish yourself for some heinous act.

I am a huge shark, zombie and horror fab. This film did nothing but waste my time, the cgi is horrific that of a low budget 2000 movie, the direction lacks continuity.
The only positive is the attractive baked women...

I wanted to like "Sky Sharks" in the same way I wanted to like "Iron Sky 2".
Regrettably, in my view both have one flaw in common. A disjointed story, that tries to squeeze in far too many creative ideas. The end result is a tale that "hot foots it" from one idea to another. There's little in the way of lead in with plot holes so large, you could park a Panzer tank in them.
The result for the poor viewer, is hefty doses, of cognitive dissonance. Or put another way the story's a hot mess.
Other shortcomings include gratuitous, sensationalist violence and sex, that detracted even more from this flick.
On the upside the idea is a novel one, that mixes similar concepts from cheesy films like "Surf Nazi's Must Die (1987)" and the "Sharknado" film franchise. Its a fun, clever, mash up, that could have worked really well with more modest, measured handling.
Equally, some of the visuals are pretty decent too and once again, hint at the potential that lies within this way out and wacky concept.
In summary, this is marginally watchable. That said, if splatter films with lots of clumsy sex scenes, is not really your thing and you like a coherent story, in my opinion this might not be for you.
4/10.

I give 1 star for Principe as the Nazi zombie riding a shark. He was in it for what - 2 minutes? Too much trash, too many chicks, too many Hildegards, the sex was pure trash, i mean all in all it was just stupid. The blood was fake, the kills were stupid. Okay where's the sharks? 5 minutes. Why wasn't Udo in it instead of some egghead. The plot and everything was one of the worst. Really? I got Naziexploitations from the 70's better than this. Principe is easy on those eyes on here though, kind of like Orjan - only looks good when he's donned a Nazi.

I thing the writers, producers, director, and anyone involved it making this movie should have gotten better drugs beforehand. A better title would have been "What Were We Thinking?" or perhaps "Never make a Movie Before Finishing Kindergarten". Pass, run, ignore, save yourself!
Well, that was... intense.
Since I hadn't heard anything at all about Sky Sharks before watching it, I didn't really expect much. But really, Nazi zombies riding flying sharks. Could it get any better? The opening scenes in the plane made me wonder who were the shreddies and who were going to be the characters playing a main part of the story. Guess what - I was totally wrong.
Sky Sharks is violent and gory in a tongue in cheek kind of way, and if you don't usually like those kind of films you probably should pass this one over. If on the other hand you are a fan of (especially European or Asian) zombies you are probably going to like it as much as I did. Like me you will probably recognize quite a few of the international cast from films like Hostel, The Machine Girl, Candy Man and even Pepper from American Horror Story.
I also laughted at the Kubrick reference when dead meat soldier Damien redecorated the helmet from Full Metal Jacket.
Sky Sharks isn't perfect though, or I would have rated it highter obviously. It's not bad, but when the end comes it feels a little bit flat and shallow. I couldn't help thinking it was all too simple, and it left me with a feeling of "This was it?" Somehow the whole movie was building up to something and then all of a sudden it was over. It might have been intentional to keep things open for a sequel, but anyway.
I didn't love it, but I liked it a lot. 7/10.

Had to do a quick review as the 1/10 reviews are from people who just don't get it.
If you believe there isn't enough movies with Flying Robot Sharks piloted by Nazi Zombies, then this is definitely for you.
This is a homage to Grindhouse and is probably best compared to something like Planet Terror, which I also thought was great. The people who gave it a 1/10 simply don't understand the genre.
It is an insane, tongue-in-cheek gore-fest that doesn't take itself seriously with surprisingly good effects ... has to be good as the effects were done by the legendary Tom Savini (who did the effects for the original Friday 13th, original Halloween, original Dawn of the Dead etc. and many other classic horror movies). It has the over-the-top fire-hose of blood when limbs or heads are cut off, just like in Kill Bill and Planet Terror and all those great old 80's splatter movies. The gore is more comical, not off-putting or disturbing.
It gets 10/10 for originality... you have never seen anything remotely similar. Overall I'd give it a solid 7/10 but have given an 9/10 to balance reviews from people who simply shouldn't review such a movie.

The good parts are amazing, then there is the filler. Dusins of characters, all with long dialogs and quick deaths. All in all a good watch, 40% iron sky 60% days of our lives, but never at the same time.

This is the worst movie I saw in my entire life. The story is okay, but the director somehow make this movie unwatchable. I don't to explain the details, but if you watch this one due to the good reputation of shaknedo, don't expect this movie is similar. I cannot image who invest this movie see this kind of product.
There are too many unnecessary animations in this movie and seems the director just want torture all the actors by killing them in different disgusting ways. I personal feel the director must have some mental issues such that he produce this kind of sick movie. I have to say again, don't waste your time on this bad movie.
