About time they finally got around to making another Roman Empire era movie. This one may be the best of them all, too! The special effects to show Rome & the Colliseum were awe inspiring. After this movie, Russell Crowe will start having action flicks lined up for him to star in. This movie was action packed with some violence on the gory side (though like Braveheart, does not lower the quality of this movie). If you like Roman Empire movies, historical movies, action movies, Conan the Barbarian type violence, epic Braveheart like story and battles (though only one battle between armies in this film), and Excalibur like soundtrack, this movie is for you!

This movie stinks and it knows it!! That is what makes this movie so enjoyable to watch. A laugh riot throughout because of it's stupidity. Pokes great fun at all the sword and sorcery movies. It seems almost every video rental store has this film, so go rent it today! And don't forget to enjoy the credits, too!!
