What one can say about a perfect movie? Only say that everything must be seen carefully and tasted with pleasure. Peter O'Toole is amazingly handsome in this movie and the supporting cast is 10 out of 10. I love Omar Sharif's work and I think he is the best at supporting the perfect O'Toole. Don't miss it.
Brazilian comedy movies of the 50's were loved by people and here we have a lot of it's most representative actors. Grande Otelo, Ankito, Renata Fronzi, Renato Restier... Costinha and Zezé Macedo, two of the biggest comic actors in Brazilian movie's history simply stole the movie. At those days the genre was dying and it's not so funny, there are better "chanchadas".
Nélson Rodrigues, one of the best Brazilian cronists, sometimes was adapted for cinema but it's very hard enjoy it on the big screen and I prefer his books. This is a good example of a bad movie. Dina Sfat, Lucélia Santos, Rubens Correa, Carlos Gregorio and others look like crazy people in this story which really talks about the most intense and secret feelings of the human being. I recomend to see Vanda Lacerda and Rubens Correa, respectable actors and giants of Brazilian stage.
