JAZZMAN24
I love jazz, baseball, photography, and Classic Movies.
Humphrey Bogart is my favorite actor, I don't have a favorite actress but I like so many.My favorite movie for years was Casablanca, but I have changed it to The Treasure Of The Sierra Madre.
Count Basie and Lester Young are probably my favorite jazz musicians.

Jammin' the Blues (1944)
HARDCORE JAM SESSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have seen this ten minute short several times on T.C.M.it is a swinging jam session featuring some of the GREATEST jazz musicians that every lived.
It has been told that when they filmed this short at the Warner Bro.studio lot that some of the great actors with Warner Bro. such as Humphrey Bogart, Bettie Davis, Edward G. Robinson Etc. stopped what they where doing to hear this jam session through out the day.
One damper on this short was the fact that Barney Kessell was filmed silhouetted so that a white musician was not identified playing with black musicians.

M Squad (1957)
Count Basie made this series a WINNER!!!!
"When I was a child around 7-8 years old I loved the police series that came on in the 50s Highway Patrol, The Lineup, San Francisco Beat,Mike Hammer, but I think that M-Squad was my favorite. Lee Marvin was DANGEROUS as Lt. Ballanger. But the sound track of Count Basie was what made me watch this show every week, and made me a life long Basie fanatic. I hope somebody will put all 117 episodes on video because I would certainly buy all of them.
