Drawing Down the Moon (1997)
Very good low budget movie.
This movie was filmed in Sunbury, Pa. which is just a few miles from where I live. When it became available on video, it was listed in our local newspaper. I ordered it just prior to Christmas and was delighted when Steve Patterson, the director, called me at home and offered to deliver it. He did so that very afternoon. We had a nice chat and Steve bid me good day and hoped that I would enjoy the movie. Since then I have viewed it on several occasions. I enjoy it more each time that I watch it. It is very well done for a low budget flick. The acting is a little stiff at times, but the story comes across very well. It is an interesting story and does have a few unexpected twists. A few "locals" had bit parts. I highly recommend this film.
The Borgia Stick (1967)
This one keeps you guessing!
What a great TV movie! Too bad it is not available on video. This is a very fast paced thriller. Excellent performances by all. The story line is tight and really keeps the viewer focused on the next plot twist. Have seen this film 12 to 15 times and would love for it to be issued on video.
Imitation General (1958)
Glenn Ford and Red Buttons at their best.
Imitation General is an absolutely hilarious tale set during World War II. Glenn Ford's portrayal as a Army sergeant who impersonates an officer is well worth seeing. Supporting roles played by Red Buttons, Dean Jones and Tige Andrews add to the mayhem. This is classic comedy from the late 1950's and should be released to video for the next generation to enjoy.
