This movie is the cutest movie I've ever seen in my life! It reminds me of "Wallace And Gromit", the UK claymation TV show. The characters were well-created and the story wasn't too bad. It was very original and I had a lot of laughs watching it.
There were two motives for me to rent this movie. One, I'm a huge Nicolas Cage fan (ever since Face Off). And two, I love cars. (Yes, very out of the ordinary for a girl, but what can I say? I love Mercedes.)
I had heard guys in my marketing class talk about this movie. They told me it was really cool and you could take auto theft to a higher level. That's very true with this movie. Memphis and his crew had a great way of stealing cars. It was the unthinkable. They stole cars that were said to be "unstealable". All throughout the movie I was asking, "Can they really do that?" or "Do the police know about this?" Haha...
The action scenes were bad either. Although I think they needed more of them. Usually, I'm not a big fan of action movies, but this one was an exception. The scenes with Memphis driving the last car was the best. I also liked the last part of the movie. It was a real tear-jerker for me. The movie was also very funny in some scenes.
I didn't like how the movie lacked depth in script. It wasn't much of a real movie, if you ask me. But I guess you can't expect too much out of movies that are in the "action" genre.
Anyways, if you're a real action movie-goer, then you should see this. If you're looking for more depth in movies, then avoid this at all costs. If you LOVE fast-racing cars, then you should DEFINITELY see this!!
