A visually stunning but very stupid remake. Nowadays filmmakers go to extreme measures to do anything to be different, no matter how bad that difference is.
Poorly written, unbelievably bad actings from all casts, even Willem Dafoe. I think it's his worst performance ever. Lilly Rose Depp couldn't be more irritating. As if they were all dragged to the set and were forced to act.
However, the only great part about this emotionless adaptation is the cinematography. It's truly mesmerizing, and the only thing that keeps you going till the end. Some people left the auditorium almost in the middle of the film.
Still, Coppola's 'Bram Stoker's Dracula' is the best Dracula adaptation to me. I watched it tens of times and still can't get enough of it. Actually, I need to watch it again tonight to digest this mess!
These modern horror film makers are really overrated.
So bad!
4/10!

Well, so boring for the first day!
As I can anticipate, this is gonna be another doomed franchise heading nowhere. The first installment was just incredible, the second was descent too, but this one, a dig too deep into its own annihilation. Lots of plot holes, no suspense(although it tries so hard), no special moment, mediocre script and totally, not even a good movie for a weekend. Even the sound effects are below today's standards.
And the hype around the cat is just as stupid as the whole film, specially when, in an unlikely situation, it finally meows and we, as the dumb viewer, learn the cat was never mute! Let alone the pizza parts!
I just remember 10 Cloverfield Lane with John goodman. That's what I call a solid sequel(or prequel), when it comes to alien invasion. Had high hopes for this one but it was all a hollow expectation!
3/10 just because the first part still gets to me!

Hell yeah!
To be honest, I just picked it on Tubi( No other streaming channel showed it) , and I got so much more than I bargained for. I'm a true horror fan and I've seen a lot,..., and I mean a lot, ...and Lowlifes is the best slasher movie I've seen after Thanksgiving, so far. I know, there's some minor plot holes, worst acting of the male actors, actually females' acts steal the show, a not-so-bad script and a simple premise but turns to a chilling, gory and different hell of a ride!
And by different, I mean that's what I call an engaging scary movie! Different in a proper way, not these current fashion of pointless, pretentious, stupid arthouse movies!
A recombination!
