Kung Pow: Enter the Fist (2002)
Easily one of the WORST movies ever!
This was hands down one of the worst movies I've ever seen in my life.
What were they thinking when they made this movie? I couldn't believe we actually rented this piece of junk. I couldn't finish the movie, because it was so unbelievably stupid. I laugh very easily. I like all kinds of stupid comedy movies, but this one was just so annoying. I didn't even laugh once. What a horrible movie...
I'd punch the smack out of those who made this movie.
Grade: F
Pearl Harbor (2001)
Too Slow... But Good
This movie was pretty good. It wasn't as good as what everyone expected, but it was pretty good. However, the movie is 3 hours and 3 mins long and it's basically the same stuff happening over and over again. It was boring in many parts of the movie. I've noticed that alot of ship sinking scenes were copied from Titanic and its love scenes were kinda cheesy... I expected Michael Bay and Jerry B. to do alot better job especially when it cost over $140 million to make. All those moneys were spent on SFX and it got up to the point where it was just too much. It wasn't that amazing and they tried to make it really powerful and sad, but it didn't come out too well... I don't know about Ben and Kate, but I thought Josh Hartnett gave a surprisingly good performace except at the end. :( Gets 8 out of 10
Jeepers Creepers (2001)
Outstanding! Different from others..
Jeepers Creepers was one scary movie. Suspense was GREAT!
New comers like Gina Philips and Justin Long did a terrific job. Justin Long's acting really surprised me. They really did a great job on not showing the killer, errr... monster until almost at the end of the movie. The only thing I didn't like about this movie was the monster looked kind of lame. But other than that, this movie will scare the heck out of you until it's over. Plus the ending is very surprising. I wanted to find out more about the monster, but oh well... I'm looking forward to Jeepers Creepers 2 (Night Two) next year.
8/10
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)
MAGNIFICENT!!!
Hands down the BEST movie of the year.
I finally watched The Lord of the Rings today after reading all the reviews and seeing it become #1 movie of all time here at IMDB. I was trying to find bad things about this movie so I can talk about it after the movie. This movie blew my mind. I couldn't find anything, I mean, not a single bad thing about this movie.
It starts out wonderfully. The narration was just perfect with awesome battle scenes. I have never read this book or was I a Peter Jackson fan. I simply watched the trailers few times and thought it looked really good.
The cinematography was absolutely gorgeous with flawless acting and special effects. Every nature scenes were beautifully filmed. Elijah Wood really surprised me. It had some surprising twists (remember, I never read the book) and very sad moments. The character developments were excellent. I really cared about each characters and when they were in trouble, I was all excited. One funny part was when I found out that one of the agent from The Matrix was in this movie and said "OMGOSH, he's the agent from The Matrix!!!" in the middle of the movie. Yeah maybe that was too loud, but it was funny.
If you haven't seen this movie yet, please go see it. When the movie ended, I found myself grasping for more. It didn't even feel like it was 3 hours long. WOW... What an experience. I don't think anyone could've done a better job and I can't wait to see the next one. Definitely worth seeing it in the theater.
10/10
Vanilla Sky (2001)
Mind Blowing
First of all... WOW! What an experience.
David Aames (Tom Cruise) had what other people would call, "A Perfect Life." He meets a girl named Sofia (Penélope Cruz) and immediately falls in love with her and weird things start happening.
The acting and plot were terrific. The character development was excellent! Until the very end of this movie, it makes you wonder if this is a good movie or a bad movie. It puts you in a very weird mood and it's so confusing you don't know what is real. It's that weird feeling that makes you wonder.
Both Penélope Cruz and Cameron Diaz were absolutely gorgeous. I couldn't think of anyone that could've done a better job. Penélope Cruz was very sweet as always and Cameron Diaz did an outstanding job being a bad girl in this movie. Jason Lee and Kurt Russell were wonderful too.
Prepare to get blown away and go see it right now. It was definitely worth my $8.00. No one should give away the ending of this movie. It will be hard to explain even if they wanted to.
10/10
Virus (1999)
It's so bad it will scares you
This was one of the worst movies I've ever seen in years. Bad plot, bad acting, bad sound, bad editing, bad EVERYTHING!!!
It was just unnecesarily gory and so stupid to watch. When the movie ended, I felt so dumb I was just sitting there trying to remember if there is any movie as bad as this one. Acting was so bad it was difficult to look at and special effects are terrible too. They made bunch of toys and called them aliens.
If you watch this movie, you'll understand what I'm saying. 0/10 stars.
All the Pretty Horses (2000)
One of the most boring movies ever
All the pretty horses was one of the most boring movies I've ever seen. I was very surprising to see Matt Damon and Penelope Cruz in this movie, because they are both very talented actors. The movie was extremely boring and had no plot. If it did have a plot, it must have been written in horses language or something. I kept watching the movie hoping for something good to happen. It was very disappointing.

Driven (2001)
Fantastic!!!
Wow~ I never thought this movie would be this good! Awesome car racing scenes with very cool special effects. Take my word for it and watch this one. You won't be disappointed. Estella Warren was gorgeous in this film and surprisingly, Stallon was good too. I thought him as an old retired actor, but I was wrong. Hey~ Sean Connery is still acting, isn't he? :D 10 out of 10
Me, Myself & Irene (2000)
Funny as hell
I couldn't stop laughing watching this movie. I thought it was one of Jim Carry's funniest movie of all time.
Don't get fooled by other people who say it's just plain stupid. They obviously don't appreciate these kind of jokes and take it too seriously. People watch these kind of movies for fun. They have good time. When you watch movies like Dumb & Dumber, There's something about Mary, etc... What do you expect? You know the movie is going to be stupid before you even see the movie. It's about how much it makes you laugh. Now I don't know about other people, but this movie made me laugh so much my stomach was hurting. :-D
Well... I hope you guys enjoy it too! 9 out of 10
The 6th Day (2000)
Way to go Arnold
This movie was pretty good. I didn't expect too much, but it turned out to be a pretty decent action flick. I don't think Arnold was good in this movie. I'd rather see him in a movie with lots of explosion and killing like True Lies, Eraser, Terminater.... It was funny to see futuristic helicopter transforming into a jet and flying everywhere, virtual girls that give pleasure, and lots of other cool stuff and on the next scene you see, Pontiac Grand AM, 1990's Ambulance car, and Old fashioned Ferrie. What was the director thinking?? 7 out of 10.

What Lies Beneath (2000)
One of the scariest movie ever
I loved this film. It was unbelievably scary and the plot was great. Also, camera work and ending were good too. The ending was so unpredictable it actually made me say wow. It was something I never saw in the movies from a person I thought would never do such a thing. The last 20 minutes were so scary, I couldn't even move. Highly recommended to any horror movie fans. 9 out of 10.
Road Trip (2000)
Hilarious
Road Trip was VERY funny & entertaining. I was laughing throughout the whole movie and I thought Sean William Scott was terrific on this movie. I don't really like Tom Green that much, but he was funny too. I really liked the plot and the ending of the movie. So far all my friends liked it too. I gave it a 9 out of 10. Highly recommended.
Final Destination (2000)
Easily one of the BEST...
This movie was awesome. One of the best horror films I've seen unlike silly Scream or I Know What You Did Last Summer kind of horror movies. This is very suspenseful and it scares you in different way than just a guy with a knife just popping up everywhere. I LOVED the plot and the ENDING was one of my favorites. Every death in the movie are... man... I shouldn't say this, but the coolest death scenes ever. :-D I give it a 9.5 out of 10. Highly recommended.
Dude, Where's My Car? (2000)
Very Stupid, but Hilarious!
This movie was very funny. All the little stupid jokes made me laugh really hard. It was very funny acting especially Seam William Scott's face expression throughout the whole movie. Of course it had alot of stupid parts, but if they make you laugh, hey, why not watch it, right? I recommend this movie to anyone who liked American Pie and Road Trip.
The Thin Red Line (1998)
I WANT MY MONEY BACK!
This movie was the MOST disappointing movie of the year. heck... In centuries! The director just tried too hard to make it look poetic and beautiful. One thing I don't get is, why the heck did they show George Clooney and John Travolta on TV commercial? They only appeared in the movie for like 2 mins saying something stupid and that was it. I guess they thought they could get George and John's fans to come to see this movie... Plus it was way too long. It had too much pointless and unnecessary scenes. I saw at least 5 people leaving the theater before the movie was over, but my friends and I stayed there hoping for some good action scene or at least a satifying ending. When the movie was over, I wanted to punch something so bad. It was so pointless and boring it made me so mad. Some people say this movie is just different. Yeah it's different in BAD WAYS. I really don't recommend this one. Waste of time.
Hollow Man (2000)
what a disaster
I was very excited to see this movie, because the trailer looked very interesting. But it was so bad!!! It was such a bad movie and my friends that saw this movie with me wanted their money back and I felt sorry for dragging them to see this one. Acting is terrible and the plot can't get any worse. I don't even know why they put Kevin Bacon in this movie, because he just couldn't act as an invisible man. I hope no one sees this movie. Really.
