  • Definitely not lousy

This show had some very funny recurring elements, e.g. the "Sports" section, having the names of famous German athletes replaced by similar sounding nouns from a different word-field like vegetables. Of course this has to be experienced to grasp how funny it was... The famous spoof of modern talk-shows "Zwei Stuehle, Eine Meinung" (Two Chairs, One Opinion) deserved all the praise and awards it received. It uncovered the stupidity, arrogance and over-estimation of people involved with this "format". In all, this show was definitely not lousy, but a funny and mostly original approach to Saturday Night Entertainment.

  • How far can people go to reach their ultimate goal?

I adored this movie because it was not the sole collection of jokes about a variety of topics that for example "Dumb and Dumber" offer. Instead, it depicts how far people can go to reach their ultimate goal.

This movie is indeed about a series of losers and the unfortunate things that happen to them. That's life. And very funny.

The only film with a comparable topic/style that surpasses "Mary" is "Serial Lover". Try this one if you want to have the time of your life.
